Not sure the details. I know he had Cerebral Palsy. Some medical emergency occurred yesterday that he wasn't able to fight off in part to the strength of his body. Was in a coma last night passed away today.

He posted here in the early days, and I knew him for several years before that. I spoke to him on AIM many times. I had seen him browsing the forums recently, but he did not respond to PMs. Terrible news.

It is. He was a good leader at BBB.Net days is baseball. I talked to him a lot. We drifted apart when the forum was sold. I saw him here a few times.

Sad, sad news indeed.

Wow! Surprising and sad news. I saw the thread, and I was like what??? I met him at one of the Blazer games. Really enthusiastic Blazer fan. Thanks for letting us know.

Sad. Condolences to everyone who lost a friend. I only knew him as a poster and Blazer fan, but even so it was obvious he was a kind man.

Holy shit. I thought I walked by him at the Philly game and went to go introduce myself. However, by that time there was too much of a crowd between us and I couldn't follow him with my six year old in tow and him in a wheelchair.

I will now always wonder whether or not it was him.

RIP Blaine. The Blazer fan base is a little less rabid.

I used to read his posts on BBB, but never posted to him. I saved board meeting pictures with him in them. Reading his old threads now, I see he was highly intelligent. Like my mother Jlprk, and like MGB, he and his helpers fought for his life every day. If his relatives are like mine, their burden is only beginning. I hope not.
