Some of you may know that I drive Uber/Lyft on the weekends. Over the past 6 months, I can probably count on one hand how many Blazers-related conversations I've had with riders, even while listening to games or picking people up from games.

Tonight, simply because I was wearing a jacket with a pinwheel on it (which I've had since Christmas), three separate riders engaged me in long, in-depth, enthusiastic discussions on the Blazers' roster and their future.

As an Uber driver, I haven't experienced that since 2022. The city is excited about what this team is doing, and it's becoming palpable and infectious.

I'm confused now? Are you the "Uber" driver the HCP talks about all the time?
