How was WorldWide Wes responsible for Cho coming to the Blazers?

Maybe by saying hire Wes, and I'll have Paul demand a trade to Portland?

I presume you mean Cho.

Does this really sound right? Do we really believe this guy has this kind of pull? And does this mean, if we don't get Paul, World Wide Wes owes us?

i think he does have the pull, whether he did what RR7 said or not. i don't think so.

Oops, yeah, sorry, meant Cho. I doubt he said it. I'd think a team would want some sort of assurance there was an actual chance first. Like, ok, turn it around. We'll sign him once we land Paul.

Please forgive me for being so ignorant, but who or what is WorldWide Wes??????

I'm pretty sure Rich Cho was on our radar screen long before WWW would have thought to call LM and recommend RC.

So is the argument (I do not know any of this from the wiki, i'm just guessing) Rich Cho and CP3 both have Wes as their agent?

I wonder if WWW has been aboard:

Reading Wojo's article he made it sound like LeBron wanted Chris Paul out of New Orleans? Did I read that right? Why would he care if Paul plays in New Orleans or Portland or Dallas or Orlando or New York? LINK

Because LeBron owns LRMR and would get a commission of the endorsement deals Paul makes. Bigger market more money?

Read Henry Abbott (TrueHoop) he wrote a ton of stuff about the mysterious activities of WWW.

I also thought of something else: Wouldn't a wannabe kingmaker like WWW say he orchestrated the Cho deal whether he was directly involved or not. If the Blazers deny it they look like they are hiding something, if they say nothing they give their silent assent. Whatever the case Wesley can make it appear like he has much more influence than he may or may not have. Call me crazy, but I don't see Paul Allen being particularly worried about what Wesley thinks.

I like how WoJo offers absolutely nothing to support Cho's hiring being Wes's doing as if it were an established fact... it's like the following paragraph that should be connecting the dots was accidentally deleted. Pretty weak conspiracy IYAM
