I only talked with him briefly about it, He appreciated it & also knew about it. I'll be seeing him again on Friday. Thanks again for sharing.

I sent was the basic cover letter, there were also additional instructions listing appropriate corrective actions. The thing that got me is I quit my membership in '12 and they should have dropped me from the rolls. Needless to say I won't be back and also quit my American Legion Membership as well.

At my American Legion Post we used to go to Friday Night Dances. Most of the people at that post got in on daddy or mommy or other relatives 214. I rode my own coat tails in there. Some bimbo asked me one night if I had an American Legion Card, I told her anyone can buy that but a personal 214 or DD Form two must be earned. I left the VFW for the same reason. Didn't used to be that way, I remember going to an American Legion Dance in Ashburnham Mass and the only reason we were let in was because we were active duty. A night out at a regular bar for us would not cost much more, I quit drinking (1974) and girlfriend limits herself at two.

I get what you're saying Michael but I've developed some pretty close friendships with the veterans that still go there over the years & I still enjoy there company. And when I had my hip replaced last year they took up a collection for me to help pay my bill while I was in the rehab facility. They raised over $2000.00 to help me out. They're a fantastic group of people.
