Riley hints at Coaching Again

Translation: If I get the players together again to make another run at a ring, I will fuck my current coach over just like I did Stan Van Gundy and take over just in time to try and win it all again. But I don't want to take the time and effort required to get there.

On the radio they said it probably means if say LeBron comes to Miami to play with Wade then Riley will coach that team. (who knows though)

the thing I like about Spoelstra is, he knows how to run a pretty good system with a ball dominating 2 Guard, and we have one of those as well. I think he would be good for this team IMO.

Miami fans seem to despise him, from everything I've read from them.

haha sounds like Nate here... seems well thought of around the league and well respected.. but loathed by fans of the team. I would take him though.

Well Bosh said earlier this year he doesn't want to play 'second fiddle" to anybody. But that is just talk of course. We will see what he says if the Miami carrot is dangled in front of him.

On the other hand, they are going to have to compete with Houston, who would probably make him "the man" on the team.

Riley's a douche. The going got tough, and he conveniently "stepped away." Now they're on the verge of getting good again with the prospect of landing another FA, and he wants back.

you guys ever think that maybe lebron or bosh don't want to play for spoelstra?

Outside of Wade, why would any of those players go play there? Hell they could sign on only for Wade to bail.

My money is on that Wade leaves for Chicago anyhow.

And then MIA has 50-some million to spend on FA's.

I hate Pat Riley like few other sports figures. Fuck that guy.

We are on Step B5.

A1. Coach Riley drives roster into ground.
A2. GM Riley doesn't bring in talent.
A3. Coach Riley quits when the going gets tough.
A4. Roster accidentally gets better.
A5. GM Riley intimidates new Coach into leaving.
A6. Go to Step 1.
