It said the cops tackled the guy who got punched. I don't know exactly why, I'll give them the slightest benefit of the doubt if they say they were trying to stop it from getting worse.

The whole thing is ridiculous.[/QUOTE]

What? Fuck those cops! There's clear video evidence that there was no reason to tackle that man. Tackling him is assault. They assaulted that man for absolutely no reason at all. It was clearly the old white man who needed to be restrained. If it were me though, sheeeeeeat.... I woulda dodged that old man's punch like The Matrix!!

I didn't watch the whole thing and I don't know what was said. If the cops told him to stop or who knows? Maybe....
I could come up with reasons for it however far fetched.

What is clear is the old asshole sucker punched a guy. That is the only thing I don't need proof of or witnesses to. The video is enough.

Apparently Trump was trying to say the police recommended that he cancel rally but then the city police came out and said specifically that they never made such a suggestion and neither did the campus police.

I have no idea, but there are assertions that this may have been planned from the get go as a publicity stunt for Trump. They specifically had the rally at one of the most diverse campuses in one of the most diverse cities, in a 10,000 person arena with 25,000 ticket (or ticket requests, I was confused by the interview) and there was not one single violent incident prior to the cancellation and according to the fire department no threats either.

All that I just said was from an interview on the radio, I don't have time at the moment to verify it.

Now Trump has security to cover him during any outburst from the crowd. Hilarious.

Should I take it, that you don't think Trump should hold a rally in Chicago or perhaps any other City with large Black populations? This in itself is instigating a riot?

I can't imagine the thinking of the Black population being against Trump. The man is about getting them jobs and they need this more than any other group? What does the BLM see? Or is this another group hijacking BLM?

I would not hold a user group meeting in Chicago again, but I don't think a person running for President should have to exercise that sort of insight.

I've seen a lot of young black men supporting trump. I ride the max every morning and hear conversations from the most random of people. Sometimes the talks turn political and I've heard plenty of young men of every race talking about him in a good way.

It's mostly women I hear getting really pissed about Trump.

That is what I would expect. I was speaking with some Hispanic guys working down at the boat harbor a few weeks ago. They were all for Trump, they started the conversation with me, asking me what I thought of him. We are voting for Trump! Sort of made me feel good.

If the government says I can shoot guns at a shooting range and some protesters block my entrance those people are trying to interfere with my rights. The government doesn't have to be the one to stop me.

Moron specializing in first amendment law. The right to peaceably assemble is listed in the first amendment.

I think he's right. The 1st amendment says that government can't keep people from peaceably assembling at a Trump rally. It doesn't say that protesters can't disrupt the event.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.— The First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution

This is apparantly the person who interruped the Trump Rally, Tommy DiMassimo.

See post directly above yours. You have the right to live. If you are murdered that person interferes with your rights. The government doesn't have to kill you for it to be against your rights.

I saw that post, I was responding to it.

They are interfering with your rights, yes. But they are not interfering with your second amendment rights. The second amendment says you can bear arms, it doesn't say anything about your right to shoot them at Terry's Targets & Tequila.

If a citizen who doesn't represent the government tries to take my gun from me when I leave a gun store as a form of protest, that person is trying to "shut down" my 2nd amendment rights as the language was used here.

It doesn't say Trump's security is prohibited from throwing anyone out that they choose.

In Progressive America, you need a permit to peaceably assemble. X feet from an abortion clinic, for example.

NOBODY IS BLAMING BLACK PEOPLE FOR EVERYTHING. FUCKING SICK OF THIS SHIT.

SUPRISE, NOT EVERYTHING IS ABOUT FUCKING RACISM IN THIS COUNTRY. GOD DAMMIT.

You and MarAzul most certainly did imply BLM and only BLM was responsible. No blame lies with any of the Trump supporters though...

I was wrong to compare BLM to the KKK. I admit that, and I accept responsibility for that.

But after seeing this, I'm just further convinced: they aren't very tolerant either.

Sorry, but I kinda have to agree with this. Chicago protesters don't exactly have a history of being peaceful in many areas (not all). It would not surprise me that many of these people showed up just to cause trouble.

Are you saying the BLM shows up at a Trump rally in Chicago, all innocent and sweet and those mean old Trumpies attack them?
Geez! I bet you feel real shit on.

I wouldn't show up at a rally like that in Chicago to see Trump, no how no way, but damn! I bet some other old guys did, and they got screwed out of the experience for someone else's agenda.

You mean, because we're tired of them constantly interrupting Rallys and constantly blaming white America for every little thing? Not once have I heard these people say ANYTHING about equality or Liberty. They only preach about it when it matters to THEM. Then they go and interrupt politicians while they're speaking.

Now, I haven't followed ANY of the campaign rallys. Not one of them. But I haven't heard one peep from a Republican starting a fight or riot at a Sanders of Clinton rally to the point where it gets shut down.

Perhaps I'm wrong. But I'm probably not.

No. I heard on TV that is was the BLM that showed up at the rally. Read what I said, I asked what they see or were the BLM hijacked.
I actually thought you might answer the question?

Updated later. I see from Sly's post the BLM was indeed the instigators.

Yes, but you are the one with the gun, so you can just shoot that citizen and be on your merry way.

Absolutely true. But apparently Trump is too cheap to hire adequate security.

Yep. That reminds me to mention that Carly endorsed Ted the other day. Those two were made for each other.
