RIP Blazer fan

I have no idea who this woman was, but she was a season ticket holder, and therefore a Blazers fan. So, I feel a connection to her and am saddened by her death.

Of course, if the family wishes to mourn their loss in private, those wishes should be honored. However, if her family wants the team she loved to do something in her memory, I think that would be great, too.

I think the way we idolize and vilify professional athletes causes us to sometimes forget they are human, too and have feelings just like the rest of us. The concern of the players last night was truly touching and showed they really do care about the fans that support them. A sad moment, but also one that made me proud to be a Portland Trail Blazer fan.

Crazy thing is the EMT people are stationed in the wing right there heading back to the locker rooms. And they still couldn't get there in time. Very sad.

Does anyone know what caused her death?

I had read that she coughed up blood and then collapsed. I doubt we'll find out exactly what killed her, but it sounds like it was something very very fast.

That makes you cough up blood? I didn't know that

My dad actually has an aneurysm that's growing in his stomach. It's getting dangerously close to bursting and they're getting ready to operate. If it bursts, he would bleed out and die within a matter of minutes. Aneurysms aren't just in your head.

Oh okay... Learn something new everyday

A moment of silence and a blow out win with plenty of flashy dunks in her honor is in order.

I guess there will be a shirt. Maybe players wearing.

See Will Bartons instagram.

Looks like they used the original logo. Good choice, imho.

Somehow Mike Rice looks like a mobster in the background there. "Ok, the fix is in. Blazers take a fall in the 4th."

they put a single red rose on her seat, as well.

Gotta say-- I can't remember this happening in my 30-ish years of watching the NBA. With little notice, the Blazers (and their PR staff) seem to have done everything right. Makes me proud to be a fan of the organization.
