Got a question about future picks, I’ve seen some trades involving them, and even been offered a couple since this game will probably not go for years, how do we judge if that’s a good trade or not?

When we are all done we will post our roster plus assets.

No interest in Whiteside tbh. Looking to bring in less than $10M. Looking for a Porzingas/Towns type of player.

Porzingis, Kanter, Lee for Aldridge Leonard and 18th pick

4-TEAM, 13-PLAYER TRADE

Milwaukee Bucks Get (@Chris Craig):

Bam Adebayo, James Johnson, Dion Waiters, Rodney McGruder
Miami Heat Get (@TorturedBlazerFan)
#17, Tony Snell, John Henson, Malcolm Brogdon, Pau Gasol, 2020 CHI 2nd, 2022 CHI 2nd
San Antonio Spurs Get (@BonesJones):
Kelly Olynyk, Bobby Portis, Omer Asik
Chicago Bulls Get (@Nationalbballa):
#18, Patty Mills, Rights to Nikola Mulitinov

*Note to Chris - You are sending out and receiving the same exact package as your initially agreed upon trade.
**Salaries Work - I even double-checked in the trade machine.
*** - I didn't see this trade and jump in. Me and Tortured were discussing Olynyk and Gasol 3 team trade with Chicago, but we couldn't make the salaries work because Waiters was going to Milwaukee. I asked him what the deal was before it was posted by C.C., hoping to combine them and make salaries work. Salaries ended up working out with 4 teams.
Weird, according the the math now it is saying that this is about $160,000 short of working. Bucks need to send out someone else or take back less.

Dammit someone take Sterling Brown

Nevermind Mcgruder isnt involved. He was traded to the knicks earlier

So there are two ways of looking at it. One is that they are worthless because it doesn't really help you and teams (like Bones is doing) can just trade a crap ton of them because it won't have future consequences. The other way is to think of it as setting your team up for the future which should be factored into the game.

So for example, if someone traded 3 future 1st round picks unprotected and pick swap rights every other year for Anthony Davis that team would be pretty well off in real life but in the game that trade is kind of stupid if you are only looking at it for one year.

Right. Stockpiling assets which Bones is doing on top of trades so he can say look at all these beautiful trades us my twenty future picks

You'll understand my methods afterwards.

Spurs are going after more than LeBron, Houston's going after LeBron, Suns are looking for prospects.

Spurs will waive Asik in July, according to a report. Asik has $11M guaranteed next year, and $3M the year after. San Antonio will stretch him, which means he will count as less than $3M per year in dead money. San Antonio saves $12M in salary, while adding two solid big men in Olynyk and Portis.

San Antonio is now looking to trade LaMarcus Aldridge for picks and cap space. Bobby Portis can do a decent job replacing Aldridge for a tenth of the cost.

Probably have to include picks to move Aldridge

Some of y'all are moving very quick. Interesting approach, I'm being more strategic with my valuable players/picks.

Everything I'm doing is insanely strategic. It's like a chess match, but multiple moves have to be made to get to the final product.

Does anyone talk to @JDC ? Hes the only one who hasn't responded. If anyone sees him in another thread let him know we started.

I've messaged him about Towns, said Towns wasn't available. Haha.

Dallas is still looking for 1st rounders with everybody on the table except Dennis Smith.
