Just a heads up between all the picks and cap holds, Phoenix doesn't really have a huge amount of cap space.
Next year they do, you know I know how to CBA works. If I give you something timestamped it'll be valid.

I don't expect many to do something like that, just because Pheonix has a lot of picks and some cap space to use to upgrade.

I wasn't questioning your skills or knowledge, like I said I just researched because some guy was claiming he had all this cap space to absorb trades and he really didn't.

I really don't want to do two teams as I want to be able to have all teams available to trade with. If we do two teams each then we should make a rule that we can trade with the other team provided the Commish (Sly? Brian?) thinks it is a fair enough (doesn't have to be perfectly fair, just not egregious). I know it might be hard to get 30 participants but how about you just assign people who have read this thread a team! haha, jk. Mostly.

I'll just make your 2nd team one that won't be very involved with any trades like the Warriors or the Thunder. We don't even have 15 yet, let alone 30, ha ha. It will be fine. You just have to pretend that the GM of your other team is Kevin Pritchard and he refuses to pick up the phone when he sees it's KeepOnRollin calling.

Participate peasant!

I don't really understand it sorry.

For example how does one handle free agency?
LAL 'I have cap space to sign lbj. therefore I'm going to sign him.'
LAC 'No I have cap space to sign lbj, he's going to sign with me.'
Cavs 'No he's going to stay put and resign'.
Houston 'No he's going to take the vet min to sign with us'.

@hoopsjock Do we have an authoritative salary data source? Also, if we get two teams, are we permitted to trade with ourselves?

Free agency is the worst part and hardest to do. There are several ways to make it fair. Take LeBron for example, we can do one of three things. We can have someone who isn't in this league pretend they are LeBron and those who want to sign him give pitches and let whoever is pretending to be him choose. Or we could all make pitches and everyone in the league gets a vote on which one is best and you can't vote for yourself, something like that. Or we can just have a commissioner who decides.

I think we should go by Basketball Insiders because they are by far the most accurate. I don't think we should be allowed to trade between our own two teams. I know it kind of sucks but I think that is the fairest way to do it.

I don't know what the twitter stuff was about. I don't have twitter either and that isn't required. I'll put you down for the Nuggets and in the running for Blazers.
Thanks Bro.

Yeah I don't want to poopoo on your game. I'll just sit this out glhf.

Inside look at the GM meetings taking place here at S2.

This will be a quiet offseason for the Celtics I bet. I would rather have the Kings as my second team please.

Not sure were doing free agency.

As GM of the Clippers, in true Balmer fashion my first move is to call @BonesJones and graciously and exuberantlay offer him Austin Rivers and the rights to Glen Rivers in exchange for the first pick in the draft.

Come on Bones, you need a coach. He has a championship, and his son is like really really good I promise. This is a great once in a lifetime package deal!

And before he can say no I interrupt and say “SORRY THATS THE KINGS GM I HAVE TO TAKE THIS, CALL ME IF YOU ARE INTERESTED.”

Here's a 4th option which is what I would do.

Have someone set odds for a free agent accepted each offer, dependent upon salary, situation, and overall likelihood they'd sign there. Then roll a 1 out of 100 set of dice or use a RNG between 1-100 too select that team. This is the best option, IMO, and would actually work rather nicely.

Lmao!

Would be cool if we used private messages to discuss deals behind closed doors. Maybe a mix of both in thread and PM, more realistic?
For sure. You already know I'm gonna get a 4-team trade done just to show the haters it's possible.
