OK, I have been assigned the Thunder. I see on the trade checker he is faded as if he can't be traded even though he still has a year, I guess it is an opt-in year. So if I can get him to opt in, I can trade him? Or if I can get him to opt out, then I clear some cap space?

Its a player option you have to wait till the player excepts declines it in real life. If its a team option you can opt in or let him walk

2nd teams are assigned. I gave @Chris Craig and @BonesJones 3 teams. Bones, someone had the Grizzlies on their list before you so I give them to him. Plus since you have 3 teams I just gave you the last two teams on the board. Everyone okay with their 2nd team?
Yay two teams I didnt want lol......

The other guy listed the Grizzlies on his list before you. Besides you have 3 teams.
So you give me two Texas teams, both of which are top destinations for LeBron? Lol.

It's all good. Just a little bummed and they're literally carbon copies.

After trades, draft, and free agency we can post our rosters and grade them. We can even compare to what really happens. Did the real GM do a better job or did we.

Thanks, I see that I forgot to say I was talking about Carmelo. He is definitely going to decide to opt in if I ask him to or opt out if I ask him to! That's what great about not having to deal with real life!

We're using an outside source to decide who opts in and opts out. You can count on Melo opting in! Haha.

I know our deal works and is definitely a great one for you.

My other deal may or may not work numbers wise. My fingers are crossed. I may end up resigning a free agent and hard capping. It kinda hurts me to be using 17/18 payrolls instead of 18\19

Anbody want Tony Snell for a late first or early second

Asking. Won't get it for Snell though probaby.
I think you'd have to attach a 1st to him. 3 more years of $10M for a guy who should be on the bench at all times. He's a SF version of Meyers IMO.

I know. Someone's gotta want him dammit

I'm not gonna hide what I am trying to do. (BTW, I think it will be more fun and interesting to do it this way) Trying to build a super team in OKC. I know if I can sign LeBron, then Paul George will sign. Why wouldn't LeBron want to play with Westbrook and George and a healthy defender like Roberson? This is not gonna be easy since I have no first round picks for forever and no good young players.
So I am gonna try to save Cleveland some money and get them out of some bad contracts. Le Bron is gonna sign a max five year deal for $207 million, about $40 million for the first year. I am asking Cleveland to trade him plus their two worst contract guys, JR Smith and Tristan Thompson, for Carmelo (opts in at about $28 million), Steven Adams (best to find a third team to take him) and Alex Abrines. I think the contracts I take in will be about 125% of what I am sending out. I'm throwing in two 2018 second round picks. I know this doesn't really save Cleveland much money; you could just as well just let LeBron go, but maybe they want to honor him byt letting him go and have his max contract. If we can find that third team to take Adams, this would be a lot better deal. Maybe Bones-Jones has some ideas?

Good luck shopping Adams, he makes so much money.

LeBron's opt-in date is June 29th. Melo's is the same I think, and you have to wait for Melo to opt-in to trade him, so I don't know how you can make that work. A sign-and-trade with LeBron would hard cap you and you'd have to shed a lot of salary.

Also I feel like LeBron wouldn't want to play with Westbrook. They would clash heavily.

Just my 2 cents!

I will disclose nothing. Focused on the Pheonix Suns more than anything.

Except that the Spurs have put LaMarcus Aldridge on the block and are looking for unguarunteed contracts and a draft pick or two.

This is really only chance for OKC. If they can't get LeBron, they lose George and have a crappy team with no assets or draft picks to improve with. In fact if we lose George I am thinking of trading Westbrook and Adams and anybody else who has the slightest value and go into the tank mode.

As for my Orlando team; this team has some talent and is still young and seems fairly balanced. I'm gonna try to trade my 2 2018 second round picks and move up for a 2nd first round pick. I got the 35th and 41st pick in the second round. Atlanta, are you interested in trading for #30?
I think I might try to sign Avery Bradley as my first choice; this team needs some defense. If not him, Will Barton. If not them, Isiah Thomas if he is OK physically or maybe Napier.

I don't know; LeBron played with Irving. I think LeBron really wants to play with someone as tough as he is. You're right about Adams; he is a damn good player but paid a lot with limited offensive skills.

The skillsets and play-styles don't co-exist. Kyrie ain't like Russ.

I'd think LeBron would want to play with Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, and Karl-Anthony Towns instead.

Hoopsjock, just for interest from us outsiders, can you provide a list of participants and their teams they represent? It would make it easier to follow along.

I can't wait to see your super trade that makes that happen!
