Its never occurred to me before a few minutes ago that a team even could waive a guy they just drafted.

It does happen quite often where a team won't sign a pick, especially 2nd rounders, but to waive them before Summer League is quite odd.

The thing that boggles my mind is that a second round draft pick's cap hold is the same as the hold for an empty roster spot.

Philly is not prepared to make a decision on our 1st round and 2nd round Euro's yet. I need to see how Free agency pans out first. So I am holding off on signing them for now. One is very likely going to be signed at some point though. I am signing Pounds, my 2nd round PG however.
