The innovator of the famous 'Tommy John' surgery that has saved/prolonged the careers of hundreds of pitchers over the last 40 years. Incredibly, well over a 100 pitchers who were active in 2013 had TJ surgery at some point in the career.

Not sure anyone has had as much of an influence medically on any sport than Jobe had on baseball. If this guy doesn't get elected to the HOF as a 'contributor' - not sure anyone should.
 
Good call on the HOF stuff Vette. Really has had an incredible impact on the game-other sports too.

I agree, this is DEFINITELY someone they should let in.

Well said Vette, and as Cy has pointed out other sports to. Tothink of how many pitchers would have never had or ressurected their careers is truly amazing.
