More like William MUMMY!
Doctor on CNN just said the bodies were starting to mummify. WTF!!??

Yeah, they were dead awhile before they were found. A couple weeks it seems.

To me, he's the greatest criminal mastermind of our time, Lex Luthor, first, and second, Coach Jimmy McGinty, who believe in Shane Falco even though he chokes with the game on the line.

I'll be rewatching those performances soon, as well and finally fixing my grave mistakes of never having seen The Conversation or The French Connection.
Me too

His pacemaker last sent a signal 9 days before they were found. It’s very dry where he lives and she was lying next to a space heater which is why they were mummified so quickly

Sounds to me more likely she found him and then took pills to join him. She’s Japanese and they have a weird honor thing about suicide that would possibly be in her personality. Maybe she was ill as well. 64 isn’t that old but Gene was 95. That’s old

Yeah, that was my first theory.

Either that or she had a health emergency (heart issue or something) went for pills and collapsed before she could take them. He found her, ran to get help, tripped, fell, and died himself.

Or

They both died separately without the other knowing. Both having deadly events at the same time in different places. The odds are low on that one though.

The thing is pills were everywhere and the heater was knocked down as though she collapsed suddenly. They can count the pills and look at the number that's suppose to be in the bottle to see how much is missing. But, taking pills to kill yourself will take some time wouldn't it? She would have sat down and died slowly on the floor against the bathroom counter, not collapsed. She could have slid down and sat, then out of frustration, threw the bottle with the remaining pills, scattering them, and knocked the heater down, before passing.

It will be interesting to see what their findings are. Any which way it's a terribly tragic set of events, and we lost a great actor and his lovely wife.

Miss Scarlett in the hall and the conservatory with the candlestick and pills.

Apparently, the current working theory by a pathologist is that he suffered a heart attack and collapsed in the mud room. His wife then rushed to the bathroom to get his pills. She either had a cardiac event herself in the stress as she was opening the pills or slipped and fell, hitting her head on the heater and died herself. Hence no calls to 911. The dog stuck in its kennel died of thirst.

This makes a ton of sense.

God damn man i don't wanna think about what the dog went through. Jesus that hurts. :(

Had a feeling Hackman dies after her.

Damnit. Sounds like she died first (of hantavirus) and he wandered around the house for a week suffering from severe Alzheimer's before he died.

Yep. Looks like she died on the 11th and he died on the 18th. I can't imagine walking around my house for a week with my wife dead in it. That's terribly tragic.

Yeah... they ahve money..... why the hell didn't they have a caretaker???

When my mom was still alive I would talk to my parents 2-3 times a week. After she passed I talk to my dad at least once a day. I just don't get no one talking or checking on them for over 2 weeks. Hopefully Gene left his kids nothing.

And the caretakers? No one checks on them? The kids aren't calling?

His wife was his caretaker. She died and thus he had no one to take care of him and he died. Apparently, the kids hadn't been in touch in like half a year. They didn't even seem to know he had Alzheimer's.

Yup. I was talking to my mom and she said that when my grandfather was at the end she and her sister would talk to him daily. He was 97.

Unless he said something to alienate them, or disown them (etc), it is almost unconscionable to not check in on your parents on a regular basis.

Agreed
