The crazy thing is...I have no idea when those commercials stopped, but the last Blazers game I watched on Portland TV was the Finals in 1990. That jingle has stuck with me somehow for 30 years.

By the time the original Tom Peterson’s had overextended itself and the creditors came calling, Tom had transferred quite a chunk of the assets into Gloria’s name. That’s how he got back on his feet and she got her name on the marquee. She kept the purse strings from that time on. Or so I heard from reputable sauces.....
