My sweetie got that on her cell phone just now. Loved the Allman Brothers Band. Hope he wound up in a Blue Sky Paradise.

The Allman Brothers did many great tunes but "Blue Sky" was my favorite by far. At one time I had an MGB Roadster, more at home in the shop than on the road. But when it did run I had a special 90 minute "Road Cassette" played when cruising with the top down.
what year was that MGB??? My sister bought a new 74 MG Roadster, convertible, and I used it one night for what was supposed to be a date. I borrowed her roadster, said hell with the date, and spent the night flying through the canyons, a couple hundred miles worth of a ride. Little did I know my sis, took an odometer reading before she lent me her car. Next morn, "Rob where in the hell did you drive for 400 miles in one night, for a date"??? What date, only date was me and the roadster, canyons too, lmao....great cars, great music....[/QUOTE
It was a '78 purchased in October of '78. British Racing Green color with a tan interior. Loved the shop, hated the road for the most part. But when it ran you were instylu. Most of the cars problems seemed to stem from the Electronic Ignition System new for that year. You'd be driving down the road and the car would die. After it cooled off you could restart it and resume. Had the car for three years then got orders for Korea and had to store it. Traded it in the summer of'84.
