One of the greatest and most prolific character actors ever.

Growing up on westerns I've seen him so much it's like losing a favorite uncle. :sigh:

I'll remember his gravelly voice. He was a terrific character actor.
 
He must have been before my time. So did you see that all Roy Rogers Museum items were auctioned last week? I went to it when it was north of San Bernardino, CA, where Roy & Dale lived till they died. It moved in 2003 to Branson, Missouri and closed in late 2009.
