Jerome was the first autograph I ever got. I waited in line at the thriftway on Olson for over an hour. I still have the autographed card somewhere.

All the chicks dug him back in the day. I bet they still do. Someone needs to go account for all the broken hearts this eve.

Such a sad eve.

RIP Jerome.

Ive met Jerome a few times, and knew A LOT of people that knew him. He was a great person. He was a lady killer and liked to have fun, but everyone loved Jerome.

So sad and so sudden.

I loved watching him because he played so dang hard every night with passion and hustle. He has been so active with the team in recent years and gave great insight on TV. I heard stories of how he was so fun to be around in person. Will be greatly missed.

Kersey underwent a knee surgery earlier this week and Wednesday reportedly told fellow Trail Blazer employees at the team's Rose Quarter office that he wasn't feeling well and was going to go home. He apparently collapsed on the way to his car. Cause of death is unknown at the time this is written.

That doesn't make sense. If he collapsed at the RQ how did he die at Meridian Park?

Ugh. I remember that James Avery (Uncle Phil from Fresh Prince) had complications with neck surgery and that's how he passed away..

That sounds like a blood clot.

Oh Jesus, I wonder if it was like an infection from the hospital. It's not too common for people his age to just keel over without warning.

Like I said, the ambulance I saw tonight go into meridian park did come down I-5 SB and into Tualatin. Damn...

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuckkkkkk

I have a pair of shoes signed by him somewhere. I was told they were game shoes, size 13. I thought they were too little to be his because I am 5 inches shorter and wear 15. I hope they are real and I come across them some day. If I find them I'll display them forever.

RIP

The world is a crazy place, I bet ARod and Lance Armstrong will be cheating against each other playing checkers in the old folks home at the age of 110.

Man. Sad news. One of my all-time favorites.

Man, I am devastated by this news. What a great guy, great player and great face of this franchise. He was the Blazers version of Ernie Banks - always happy, positive and encouraging. He will be missed by this team and this city.

I am catching this late but it doesn't make it any less sad. :( RIP Jerome!

He was before my time but it was always easy to tell he was a favorite and loved the city. Liked him on talking ball and what not as well. Sad, rip up there with mgb and the other great blazers

It's gonna be a day or two before this really sinks in. Shocked. Just isnt fair that such a good guy is gone so soon. One of the best on the court & probably the best off the court. He did so much for our community.

Just heard on the radio that friends are reporting that he passed away. I didn't catch any details, but I thought he deserved a thread ASAP.
Oh. Shit. One of my all time favorite Blazers. Forever.

Just numb. I'm going to listen to Rip City Rhapsody as I go to sleep tonight.

Man, I met him once at Blazer's event. He signed something for me. What a terrible thing to happen. RIP
