RIP to a legend. I was lucky enough to see Black Sabbath on September 13, 1972. I was going into the Navy on the 22nd and my buddies had rented a place at Pacific City so we could have one last party. We drove back to Portland on a Wednesday afternoon partying all the way, thoroughly enjoy a genuinely kick ass concert and then partied all the way back to Pacific City. Took several days before my hearing returned to normal. I lost interest in the band as I got older (and Ozzie's obnoxious wife made it all about her) but Black Sabbath was the perfect band for that time in my life. Very glad that Ozzie survived this long.....and that I got to enjoy the experience.
I was at that concert too.

Those are some of the nicest sounding drums ive ever heard in a recording. The toms.... Jesus. Snare with that circular punch to it.
Amazing what a difference when a drummer knows how to tune his kit....that's what gives it the punch..the kit is in tune
