Found dead in Manhattan apartment.

I just saw this, wtf

I need to watch Punch Drunk or something. I can't have my last acting memory of him be that awful Hunger Games shit.

Award-winning actor Philip Seymour Hoffman was found dead Sunday afternoon in his New York City apartment, a law-enforcement official said.
The New York Police Department is investigating, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine exact cause of death. The official said Mr. Hoffman, 46 years old, was found dead at his apartment at 35 Bethune St. in the West Village neighborhood of Manhattan.
Mr. Hoffman won the Academy Award for Best Actor for the 2005 film, "Capote."

That's right, they're filming movies 3 and 4 at the same time. I wonder if he was done shooting his part?

If I remember right he went to rehab recently for something crazy like heroin.

Yeah Google says he finished a program this year for pills and heroin after previous 23 years of sobriety.

He was great in some great films but this is probably the scene I'll remember the most...

One of my favorite actors. He reminded me of John Malkovich in terms of his range and his choices of interesting roles.

Word is they found him with a needle in his arm. Fuck, but heroin is a scary drug.

looks like it all started with prescription drugs

the safe alternative to that demon weed

I don't know that I saw many of his movies. I really liked him in the Mission Impossible movie he did. It's sad to hear about his passing. Too young. RIP.

Sad to see such a young talent pack it in at 46. Junkies, go figure! I did notice his attraction to heavy or darker roles over recent years. Choices eh? He seemed to be an actor that became his roles which made him believable on screen. I foret the name but he was in a movie as a drag queen with DeNiro that was great! Rest in peace! I just remembered the movie was Flawless with DeNiro, Francis McDormatt and I think it was James Franco's debut..Hoffman was a really great talent but he had the ways and means to deal with addiction, too bad he failed at it.
