Liked his work with the Bangles, Purple Rain was awesome, liked to hit the dance floor to "Kiss". The man did do some cool stuff..
When Doves cry was my favorite. A very talented man who I understood played 6-7 instruments. He ex girlfriend Vanity died just the other day. He was often over shadowed by Michael Jackson.
have to rank 'em Prince then MJ then Bowie. heck of a pop trio....just my opinion but MJ wasn't nearly as talented as Prince...Prince was a true musical artist, he wrote, produced, and played multiple instruments.

Prince was most definitely more talented without question but MJ was by far the better entertainer, I don't think ANYONE would argue with that.
...that's kinda weird...aren't they supposed to keep ODs for awhile as a precautionary measure as well as reporting it to the police?
...MJ was simply a product of shrewd marketing and more importantly Quincy Jones.
Prayer for foreplay.... Story of Rick's life.^^^ I read something somewhere that said, "Prince Rogers Nelson: 'Every song was either a prayer or foreplay'"
Elvis, Hendrix, Joplin, Jackson, Houston & maybe now Prince, such a tremendous waste of great talent.
A friend asked me who the artist was in the video (Rock & Roll heaven) shown right after Stevie Ray Vaughn (toward the beginning) & I didn't know, Rob, Ron, any idea?

The guy right after SRV, looks like Duane Allman, (Notice his bro' Greg on Keyboards)......odd, tho' Duane played many different guitars, he usually played a Les Paul, more often than others......but yeah' I'd say that's Duane.....died on His HD, on Hwy 41.....odd in a way, the years I lived in Perry, Ga. (just north of 59), we lived right off of Hwy 41, but 200 feet from it. Rarely did a day go by I didn't think of Duane dying on this very Hwy. 6 mos latter, I'd lose a good buddy, who I hired, who flipped his convertible IROC Z-28, taking a turn at 120 mph, late at night Drunker than a fkn skunk....within a stone's throw of our front yard......Big reason why I left Ga.
Thanks for the info Rob. Me I'm fighting a bout of bronchitis with a touch of pneumonia. Feel like garbage.
It's a conspiracy, Tote- caught this bug in Boston**, during one of his business trips, and infected the entire board....
** more likely someone saw Tote wearing a Yanx cap in Boston and infected him with a dart, delivery system for this bug....
I hope you get better Rick, us Old(er) Timer's don't seem to fight off these nasty viruses, get better my friend....not a good time of year to be sick, but then when is a good time to be sick....? I know,... when you got a Nurse that looks like Elly Mae Clampett to take care you You....
