...Holy crap !
...the Icon A5 pane he was flying is supposed to be very simple to fly...it folds up and can be towed on a trailer that nearly fits in a carport.
...^^^ exactly,
What's really ironic: Jon Karkow the designer lead engineer died earlier this year in May, flying his own A5. I knew and met with Jon several times when he worked for Burt Rutan at "Scaled Composites" in Mojave. I never cared for the Rutan AC, too lightweight, always susceptible to control losses due to strong winds; and never kept that a secret, as did my colleagues often say as much to Rutan and Karkow....
Our own Co: 'NG' wound up buying out Rutan's Co exactly 10 yr's ago....
Matts:::::: A motor behind a pilot's head is an incredible concept similar to the 1950's "flying wing" by Lockhead .the infamous A5

...wouldn't expect anything less coming out of Boston.
far below the belt, unfair, hateful; indicitative of Boston Beats.....
...^^^ exactly, simply to stir up discontent, and make headlines. Like a child who believes they lack attention, so they stir up shit, and get negative attention, in lieu of none at all.......... sick minds....
The Orwell Quote is very telling of these times, eh?.... I remember reading 1984 in high school, thinking that's only a decade and 4 yrs away, sounded like forever until 1984, ........... now it's come been and gone. Orwell was damn near a prophet seer imo....
Damn you guys are old that was the year I was born.![]()
great point. there has to be a prescription trail. my FIL just passed after battling pancreatic cancer for 7 months. When hospice came to do death certification, they get all their gear. but also whip out some documents that list all the morphine we were given and they police it all up and have you sign that you did return EVERYTHING.If it was morphine, his family loses the insurance claim. Everyone knows, you do not pilot anything on that med.
You and I share a hospice experience. He slept into a Morphine coma then away. Prior to this point in time, he told me he hovered over his body when in the operating room but got sucked back and then on to this.great point. there has to be a prescription trail. my FIL just passed after battling pancreatic cancer for 7 months. mind you there are ways around that, and that's why we have the epidemic we have, but no simple solution.
this is a shame, some things the general public just doesn't need to hear. now that poor family has to relive this whole media storm again.
His portfolio, if diverse and healthy, benefit his heirs. Seemed like a good joe.....Halladay was worth over $50 Mil at the time of his death...so I doubt his family is fretting over an insurance policy which may or may not even exist.
