Beaten to death by his(the sons) mothers boyfriend. How could one even do this?? I can't imagine what AP is going through.

What a sick fuck... I have a two year old with my ex and I already don't like the new boyfriend... Now I have this shit in the back of my head.

Prayers are with Peterson's family for sure.
 
I'm sickened to hear of this. Iv got a two year old and I can't begin to imagine the pain Adrian Peterson must be in. I hope that bastard gets what's coming to him.

There's been a photo of Adrian Peterson giving a football to some small kid going around social media. That wasn't who died. He only met this son for the first time on Thursday.

Adrian Peterson only recently learned he was the father of a 2-year-old boy in South Dakota ... and met him for the first time Thursday ... while the boy was on life support, TMZ has learned.

Multiple sources connected to the situation tell us ... roughly 2-3 months ago, the mother of the child had a paternity test done with an ex she suspected to be the father, in an effort to collect child support from him.

But the test turned up negative, so the woman went to Adrian ... with whom she had a sexual encounter several years ago.

We're told ... when Adrian was first informed about the matter, he didn't question the possibility he was the dad -- but rather asked how he could help the situation.

Sources tell us ... a few weeks ago, A.P. started to plan a trip to South Dakota to meet the child for the first time and he was supposed to fly out later this month.

But when he heard the news about the attack on the 2-year-old, Peterson dropped everything and jetted over to Sioux Falls as soon as he could.

We're told Adrian met the child for the first time while the boy was on life support.

What I'm wondering here is if the ex-GF basically told her boyfriend that the child was his. When he found out it wasn't, he snapped. Not saying its how it went down or he's not an asshole, but this might be a possible scenario. Also, since he never even met his son he had little emotional attachment, which was probably why Peterson was probably going to end up playing while the kid was still in a coma before he died (he probably won't play now, obviously).

Whatever the reason, whatever the emotion, that shit is fucked up. Choking out a child? Everything that dude gets in prison is well-deserved and then some.

So after soaking the ex-boyfriend for 2 years of money, the bitch was starting to exploit the football player. Will she go to prison? Of course not, this is America. She didn't cause this or anything. Neither did the evil legal system.

It could be AP didn't care enough to see his son to begin with. I mean if it were you and your kid wouldn't you drop everything as soon as you knew he was yours.

He made excuses, that's enough for me to conclude he really didn't care.

The side story could be one thing, but the real story is an innocent 2 year old died. Who physically killed him? That's the one that needs the most punishment.

And if we didn't hear about it, the thought or possibility of it would stilll lead people to the same feelings. What's your point exactly?

Absent father? He didn't even know the kid existed until a couple months ago. Did they even have a paternity test to prove the kid was his? The article you linked said that he was totally cool about it, and didn't even question that it was his kid. He only wanted to help out.

He found out he had a son couple of months ago and he couldnt be bothered to visit him once? I guess HGH injections were more important. Well, until the son's in a coma I guess that's when he decides to be a father.

"Help out"= send a check every month, which he won't have to do now.
