:dunno: I don't claim any level of expertise, but I woud be OK with Mathurin with our pick and Eason with the Pelican pick. I suspect, however, that MM is correct and that the team will once again fritter away the picks for a journeyman vet. :smiley-neznam:
Yeah, why wait a couple year for a player to develop when right now you can have a mediocre vet who plays defense when he feels like it.

As long as they are big and bad, that's all I want. Eason Duren Sochen

Uh-oh... this is the pick in which this whole process falls apart. 4 votes for Davis and Eason, 3 for Griffin and Mathurin, 2 for Duren and Sochan. No idea where to go from here.
Treat it like the French Presidential election - RUNOFF!

Tari is such a weird player.

I don't buy really much of the creation stuff. His half court driving + finishing is pretty poor and doesn't have much of a pull up game (this is where I have a hard time with any Kawhi comps) Definitely get it with the mannerisms though. Needs to learn how to use his strength as a driver more. Treats drives as a race to the rim too often. He has the handle and enough burst to get a half step on guys but doesn't really know how to slow down, use his body and time his steps to maintain that advantage.

I like the shooting though long-term and the handle flashes are intriguing. Should be a pretty dominant transition player like he was in college. Has the physical tools to be a really great defender. Still not totally sure on reaction time and some feel stuff being elite. Fouls too much right now.

But yeah I like him late lottery. I think it's just tough to find utility for him in the half court right now if he doesn't shoot at a reasonable level. Not the youngest either, so if he can't get on the floor early on in his career I get somewhat worried what his career might end up looking like.
