BTW--I suggested the banner contest idea without clearing it through the bigwigs. I imagine they might have some design requirements and/or may not be quite on board with that idea. Hopefully one of them could chime in.

the problem with that layout is that it only works if he robot is dribbling two basketballs. if he's holding a flame sword, he can't do that.

unless he uses his foot....

That's only part of it.

if you notice, our banners are left aligned as much as possible. so the top part can stretch as people make their browsers wider. We'll just have to see it up there and tweak accordingly.

It doesn't quite match the background band you've got, even though I took it right from the graphic. I think it's because I saved it at a different JPG quality?

Not sure. I think we have a PSD around somewhere to make the images from that has the right background.

The powered by sportstwo needs to be left aligned or it will look "dangling" (dunno how to describe it better) on wide browsers.

I'm actually trying to take my design cues from the Blazers' own site. Not ripping it off, but giving it a similar feel.

Please do come up with some of your own designs if you'd like--I certainly won't be offended.
