I love this train wreck. It's so un-Canadian.
 
A scientific attitude (real world before rules) says, "This proves that if taken intelligently, drugs and competently holding a job, even a demanding high-level job, are not mutually exclusive."

A religious attitude (rules before real world) says, "Since it's a given that drugs should result in the legal system destroying the employment prospects of 80 million Americans, as has happened, this proves that human nature is evil, since it refuses to buckle to the legal system."

Shoot, most of the people in my industry are very high-functioning alcohols. That was all the proof I needed. And I deal with several individuals I suspect are far more than just alcoholics, but they take care of their job at high (no pun intended) capabilities, so it's not my business.
 
Two good testimonies there, so the question is, why is The Law (and its subordinate, The Media) forcing out a good man?
