Robin Lopez and His Future Here

Any team giving Jordan max will later regret it. He is too "one dimensional" and he gives Hack-A-Shaq an entirely new meaning. The dude hit free throws at an alarming %. 39.7% in the regular season and 36.7% in the post season!
If you pick up Jordan you don't really have that problem at the end of games because you have Leonard to finish games off or Freeland. Both good free throw shooters. Jordan is an elite shot blocker which we don't have and an offensive rebounding machine. This move wouldn't surprise me. I don't see Rolo at the line at the end of games much anyway

Hibbert has asthma and conditioning problems so he can't play 30mpg. You don't want Lopez playing 30mpg either. Both getting 24 or one getting 28 the other 20 would be awesome though. Aldridge and Meyers at PF where they both play best with Freeland back as the 5th big would be a hell of a front court rotation.

So if you don't play him at the end of games and you can't play him from 5-2minute mark what the hell is he good for? Only the first half of a quarter. Not what I want out of a max salary starter.

Is it though? It's a good 'strategy' but it kills the flow of the game and is so boring to watch.
Changing rules to benefit those that lack the motivation to fix their weakness is a total cop out. Next thing we will do is give teams with losing records a 10 point buffer, you know to make it even and more entertaining.

I'm not sure where he got you can't have him in at the end of games...he is just like any other bad FT guy...you keep it out of his hands.

DeAndre was perfectly fine last night that last two minutes, he just got to the ball a millisecond before it went outside the cylinder.

I'm not sure what people aren't getting...if LA is going to stay he's going to want some improvements. Bringing in Hibbert 3-4 years after we tried to sign him does not help at all. RoLo has proven he is not a Starting C on a deep playoff team.

Pitchers didn't fix their weakness with the game on the line pitching against Barry Bonds with the bases loaded...and it's boring as fuck. You realize how many rule tweaks the NBA has made since the game was first professional? The hack is employed because of the current rule but it really kills the end of exciting games for most fans. I can't stand watching it but I can bitch about what it's done to the sport

It's been so successful against DeAndre Doc has given in and will pull him out of the game now. So I don't think we will see much of it going forward.

I like it. Watching a team come back and even win because a beast that can't hit a free throw is fair game. Hell if every player always hit a free throw would be boring.
I didn't say it wasn't a bad strategy, I totally get that. Comebacks are great, it just feels cheap when we or other teams have to resort to lawyer ball.

Walking a batter is absolutely a great strategy.

If you can't strike out a home run hitter...become a better pitcher is the example I'm portraying. If that pitcher has to pitch to the guy at the plate, it's exciting. I think it's a great example of the Hack a Shaq strategy. We all know why teams do it in both sports, but is it the best game experience for players and fans....I don't think so

In a playoff game..if you don't pitch to a great batter..it is the pitcher saying he can't make him hit a grounder or pop up something high in the strike zone with a changeup. If you hack Shaq..its saying you can't defend the opposing offense. It's not so much a debate as a choice. Given the rules everybody makes the choice.

Both are true. As I said, sometimes you must sacrifice a battle to win the war. The Allies didn't win every battle and retreated on many occasions. But eventually the allies won the war because they finally out willed the axis

I thought The Allies cracked EMIGMA and stole the NAZI's signs?

I think our Money could be better spent elsewhere than a big. IMO Lopez, Lamarcus and Meyers is a pretty dang good rotaional trio that can be mixed and matched anyway.

Backed up by Freeland.

DeAndre would be an upgrade I would like to see!

I have no problem with this, it's just if Lopez gets a lot of money, I rather spend that money on someone better.

I dont mind going after Jordan but you sign him you dont trade for him and you especially dont make yourself significantly worse at one position, SF, to upgrade at a spot that isnt as significant upgrade as the spot you downgraded.
