Rodney Hood a Blazer

Good value! I’m sorry that Nik didn’t work out. He seemed like he really wanted to be here and had a strong start. He showed some flashes and had some good chemistry with Zach. Unfortunately for all parties, his shooting faded and ultimately got beat out by Jake.

Wade, thanks for some inspiring defense on James Harden for a few good minutes and being the leader on that title winning summer league team. Aside from that, I’m not sure he had a role on this team.

Hood can have a nice role here if used properly. I hope it works out well and maybe this is a precursor to some bigger moves in the next few days.

Say hello to our new starting 2 guard once CJ is traded for AD...

Mostly kidding. But seriously, I wanted Hood at last years deadline. Seems like his focus and attitude have been his main problem and I believe in Dame enough to think that won’t be an issue in PDX.

Overall, I really like the move considering what we gave up.

I'm a little saddened by losing Baldwin, I hope he succeeds in the league. I like his game (tho I was disappointed in his play this year).

I'm ambivalent about Stauskus.

Blazers get rid of two players who weren't going to contribute, for 1 player that might.

Portland already has traded their 2019 & 2020 2nds away

Blazers added about 250K in salary and 440K in luxury tax

If this is the first of two or three moves maybe we can make a run at wcf this year.

Nothing major. Just Olshey trying to insure that the Blazers don't blow the first round. And thus losing him his job. But like people are saying, the bare minimum.

WAIT, a roster spot just opened?

Let me be the first to say, welcome to the trail blazers Trenton Haskell...er...Hedo Turko...er, Carmelo Anthony!

The picks aren't valuable? That's 2 players the Blazers could have developed Into untouchables.

Yeah. Because picks like Nicola Jokic happen every year. We picked up Baldwin for nothing and flipped him as a major piece in this trade. Second round draft picks are currency as much as actual ways to acquire talent. And we are up to our ears in young players.
