No, the laws aren't pointless. The point is to punish women. Make them suffer.

I disagree. The laws are either being enacted by state legislators because of a mistaken belief that they are doing “God’s work” or because they hypothetically believe a majority of the people who elect them think that. Women are simply collateral damage.

Try being a clinic escort.
It's about punishing women. Whether they think it's what their god wants or not.
And it's clear this is not what constituents want.

A multi year study compared women who sought but could not get abortions with similar demographic women who were able to get abortions when needed. The women forced to give birth had higher poverty both short and long term and more health problems.
The Black Women's Health Initiative estimates maternal mortality among Black women will increase by a third due to overturning Roe.
So pro life, unless you are born.

A Michigan judge ruled a man who raped a 12 year old girl must have custody of the child he forced on her. The man had been allowed to plea bargain so got only a six month sentence for child rape. After his release he raped another child and got another minimal sentence. The rape victim was told she would be jailed if she tried to move far away from the rapist.

Republicans on various Sunday news programs were asked about the raped 10 year old who had to leave Ohio for an abortion. They managed a few crocodile tears for the raped child but said the real tragedy was that she was able to terminate the rapist's ejaculate.

Welcome to Republican heaven.

Road Ratt, you are assuming a woman's life is worth saving. Not according to white supremacist court.

Yeah, they are going to let GOP state legislatures overturn the election in their states. Oh, the Democrat won ...nope the Republican did...because we say so.

A woman on vacation in Hawaii with her husband forgot her birth control pills. She went to Walgreens for condoms. Clerk refused to sell them to get because of his religion.

That's a court case that woman can win....no clerk in a store that carries condoms can refuse to sell them ....they should sue the shit out of that person. Hawaii is a blue state.

Sue the store. For millions. They should be making it clear that is not acceptable...

The customer asked to speak to manager. He logged the clerk out of register and logged in so she could complete her purchase. The clerk didn't want it in his login. Walgreens told her their employees are not required to do anything against their religion.

And in good old Texas, a cancer survivor who had three previous miscarriages was thrilled to be pregnant. But at 16 weeks test showed fetus had lethal chromosomal abnormality. Because of her health history and the fetal condition her doctor said continuing pregnancy put her at high risk and fetus had no chance at survival. Not good enough to get an abortion in Texas. She and her husband drove 10 hours to New Mexico to end a wanted pregnancy and we're screamed at and called murderers by Christians outside the clinic.
This is what anti woman groups call a good thing. Make her suffer.

What I don't get is all the women who are against their own rights. Brainwashed I guess.

Violent white supremacists are actively recruiting among young men in anti women's rights movement.

Said the quiet part out loud...

An egg is only considered human life if it is in a woman

According to the anti-abortion brigade, life begins at conception. It turns out, however, that there are some exceptions. During the debate about the Alabama bill Chambliss was asked why it wouldn’t apply to eggs fertilized in IVF. Chambliss replied, “The egg in the lab doesn’t apply. It’s not in a woman. She’s not pregnant.” Could he make it any more clear that these laws aren’t actually about protecting life, they’re about controlling women?

Does that mean we can just freeze them and it's no longer considered abortion, since it's no longer "in a woman"?
