There's no need for any funding if men control their own bodies.....and women control their own bodies......sounds like the lack of control comes at home first....not politics or religion. If people pay or support legislation that takes control away from the women, those people should also pay for the damage control that comes afterwards...choices

Unfortunately had to make that choice when I had no choice but to vote against Trump (for Biden, blech).

First time I've done that in decades.

But not just for gun rights. There are many issues I hate about both Republicans and Democrats.

Well, that's a bit simplistic don't you think? A problem kind of arises when there's no candidate who agrees with 100% of your "absolute" policy positions.

Not that this applies relative to abortion in the case of Biden vs. Trump, but it could have if Biden had followed the teachings of his church.

Adoption by same sex couples depends on state. Some states are fine, the ones with most restrictive anti abortion laws are also most anti gay. But organization promoted by ABM is right wing antigay Christian group that produced sanitized view of US history full of good white people and happy darkies.

thanks...seems like alienating those communities is counterproductive with so many children needing loving homes.

Sure, in a vacuum. But in ABM's specific case, he's made it clear that he votes for "pro-life" candidates because they're "pro-life." So, no, not at all simplistic--if you vote for someone because they say they'll do a thing, you're for that thing.
 
In any election, it's rare to have absolute agreement with a given candidate. We all have our core issues, however. I shocked many friends in 2008 when I said I could not vote for Obama because at that time he opposed marriage equality.
If someone says forced birth is their core issue they will, and did, vote for an absolutely corrupt and unqualified president over a believing Christian challenger who thinks women are smart enough to make our own health care decisions.

It means that I voted for Trump for other reasons than simply abortion issues. Loved how he was taking it to China, as well. Also, loved his support for our Veterans.
 
John McCain was a decorated veteran.....I don't remember Trump treating him well at all or even attending his funeral...trump mocked veterans and insulted soldiers and officers serving overseas that countered his lies with truth...causing many to resign from positions in which they were respected and did good work.......Hiding behind the Goodwill Santa won't change the facts.

Women outnumber men.

Therefore, men have no chance at winning any vote without women also voting with them.

I know more pro-life women than pro-life men.

Trump did not support Veterans. He tried to turn over tasks that were done by VA hospitals to the private sector. Also, he was against claims resulting from burn pits.
