It isn't that Roger Moore wasn't a good Bond, it was that those 70s movies weren't very good. Not his fault.

My least favorite Bond is Pierce Brosnan. Guy had to squint to try to look tough. Didn't work.

Being black is central to Shaft's character. Do you think being white is central to Bond?

I don't get this kind of thinking really. I'm pretty much obsessed with Superman and I think it would be cool if he was played by a black actor, or any other ethnicity for that matter. Same goes for Bond.

He was very nearly portrayed by Will Smith, who was given the role, but turned it down. Smith was also in talks to be Captain America. Marlon Wayans very nearly portrayed Robin beside Michael Keaton's Batman in Batman Returns, then beside Val Kilmer in Batman Forever, but was replaced by Chris O'Donnell. Wayans still recieves residuals.

Speaking of Superman and Batman, the only actor to portray both in film, is Ben Affleck.

Also, the first Batman Film was directed by Andy Warhol in 1964, Batman/Dracula, but without consent from DC comics.

See, I'm of the opposite view. I didn't like Craig because he seemed too "street", not suave enough. I liked Remington Steel Bond because he emphasized the refined aspect of the Bond character.

Personally I wish they would have given Henry Cavill the role 11 years ago instead of going with Daniel Craig, but I can understand them viewing him as much too young at that point.

There were two other actors who portrayed James Bond that I missed, American actor Barry Nelson in a 1954 tv adaption of Casino Royale, making him the first actor to portray James Bond, and actor David Niven in 1967's Casino Royale, though that one was more of a spoof

The only one besides the two above (Nelson and Niven)I haven't seen is George Lazenby. I have heard he wasnt very good.

I thought he was fine. I liked the fact that he was humble enough to mock himself at the end of the opening scene.

I think you got them all.

So, who's your money on for the next Bond?

I think they'll go in a different direction:
