In related news, Romney changed his mind 3 times last week on a Constitutional amendment to prohibit marriage equality and other benefits for same sex couples. He'd always said he was for it. Then Moderate Mitt said he was against it. Then Bay Buchanan, acting as spokesperson, clarified he's for it, but it's up to states to decide if gays and lesbians should be barred from adoption, visiting partners in hospital, etc.

While I am sure to be flamed by the majority on here, right now, in this day and age we need to focus on more important things than abortion and religion IMHO. A lot of people in this great country are struggling to eat, heat or cool their homes, keep their homes, and get quality health care for their families. I simply don't care if someone is Muslim, Mormon or Christian right now. Whoever has the best plan for helping the people in our country that need help is who people should vote for.

If the liberals want to kill babies then the party should fund it

If the conservatives want to cut taxes for the filthy rich then mine better not go up a dime to make up for it

Romney is going to have to make some very tough cuts (especially lowering the tax on the rich) . . . I wouldn't want to be in a position of relying on government assistance if Romeny is president.

If you are looking at the big economic picture of the US, then I think Romney will be better than Obama in that department. But there is going to be some hurt if Romney decreases taxes and wants to balance the budget (impossible), and it will be the poor and lower middle class that will be hit the hardest.

Purely from a selfish standpoint, my tax situation would be better with Romney than Obama, but I disagree that the economy will be better under Romney over the long haul. I have pretty big concerns about a lack of regulation of Wall Street in general, but in particular big banks, hedge funds, and shorts manipulating the markets and a lack of regulation around derivative securities. I think ignoring those problems (likely with Romney) would help juice the economy in the short term, but lead us to a bigger financial melt down down the road. While I'm not certain Obama will address it either, I think he's much more likely to take it on.
