Santorum declared the real victor in Iowa as Romney's attempts to hide wealth from the IRS is exposed. Newt's ex and children confirm he's an immoral POS of epic proportions. While not even on the ballot, Stephen Colbert is the preferred candidate of S. Carolinans, causing Huntsman to fold up his tent.

Unless the Repubs bring in a new face soon, they are in for the worst beating of their party's history.

:biglaugh:

Rick Perry has now crawled back under the rock he came from.

Newt should run as a Democrat. He'd be a sure thing, considering he's an immoral POS.

Big laugh. Gingrich won S.C. tonight with 40% of the vote.

The Democrats' tactic of trying to smear him really backfired.

Morality and he ability to lead are mutually exclusive.

His morals don't bother me at all. I just found it funny that MARIS was commenting on a politician's morality, considering his party's history of not caring about morals.

I think it's great the GOP is finally distancing itself from the moral majority.

How about that John Edwards fellow.

He left his wife during her cancer and treatment (she ultimately died, RIP).

Gingrich's victory in SC is fascinating. Romney must be thinking like Hillary Clinton in 2008 right now... "THIS WAS MY TIME!!! THIS WAS MY ELECTION!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M GOING TO LOSE THIS!!!" And a man with more moral skeletons in this closet than any other candidate taking a Bible Belt state. Strange times we are living in, my friends. The GOP imploding before our very eyes. And I still believe that Obama will drop Biden and add Hillary to the ticket as VP in the early summer and seal the deal for a second term. And the Tea Partiers will split from the GOP and create their own party. I'm pretty sure we are seeing the beginning of the end of politics as we know it in this country.

The important thing to gather from this thread is that MARIS is right, as usual. Newt was clearly squashed like a bug.

is there anywhere to read up on where people stand on policies and what not without some political sway one way or the other? I don't usually follow politics and I want to be a little bit better about that and be more informed, I voted for obama last time without really knowing anything so Id like to have a semi clue about who I'm voting for and why this time around.

My point exactly. Remember how that worked out for President Edwards...oh wait, he didn't get elected did he.

Newt has no chance to ever be President now.

How'd that Lewinski thing work out for Clinoccio?

Trivia question:

Who was the first president to be elected after he was divorced/remarried?

I don't have a party.

And I was commenting on what his behavior will do to his already minimal chances of winning the primary of the Family Values Party.

Shows christians are the biggest hypocrites in America.

Apples and Oranges.

Clinton had already reversed a horrific 12-year skid and made America a super power again.

And like Obama this time around, he had no serious competition from the Repubs worth mentioning.

keep on repeating that, just like "George W. Bush, one term president". :MARIS61:
