I don't care how rich he is. Yeah, become President. No problemo. But, as a Mormon, you'd better be tithing that 10 percent!! You dig?

He has a net worth of about 1/4 what John Kerry's net worth.

He has a net worth about 10x what GW Bush's net worth.

He gave like 16% to charity in 2010, didn't he?

The mormon church is nothing more than a tax dodge. Donations are secretly funneled back to the givers in probably the longest running money-laundering schemes ever.

Wow that's some serious accusations. Do you have anything other than your word? I'm not mormon. I've never heard that.

A "mormon" couple told me this back in 1975 while giving me a ride as I hitchhiked to the Tetons. They said they weren't actually religious at all but in mormon country like Idaho and Utah only mormons prosper so they "played the game". Non-mormons will not get good jobs, will not advance in their careers, and eventually move away. It's like a secret club that runs pretty much everything in the state through it's members, who do a large part of their day-to-day business on a barter and handshake so as to avoid any record of taxable transactions. They do work for their neighbor (build a barn?) for free as "a charitable donation" and another neighbor does the same for them. Nobody pays taxes on the work and both families get the deduction.

Wow insane if true. Those mormons are some pretty smart fellas! I know very little about the mormon faith; so I can't say you are wrong or right.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! touché MARIS!

But I did search for it and found this.

The Latter Day Church of Christ has also been accused of engaging in welfare fraud and tax evasion.[19] They have larger families which is typical of the older LDS teachings. John Ortell Kingston was accused of tax evasion and fraudulently obtained welfare by having his wives claim to be single mothers, claiming that he was not the father of their children. Ortell's holdings were estimated at $70 million. In 1983, the State of Utah sued Ortell Kingston for repayment of welfare subsidies his plural wives had received. While admitting no wrongdoing, Ortell paid the state $250,000 and the case was dropped.[20]

But being accused and actually guilty are two different things.

I not only get several wives, but I also make the big bucks in kickbacks?

I just mailed my application to Salt Lake City.
