ARTEST IS SO HOOD, VERY GHETTO AND LOVES IT. HOWEVER THERE IS SOME INTELLIGENCE WITH THAT , AND WITH THAT COMES PEOPLE WHO WANT TO SEE HIM FALL

lmfao..so true thoWith James and Artest (assuming one of them slots in at shooting guard, I guess), Cleveland will have the most powerful duo of wing defenders ever. Almost two-thirds of a solid linebacking corps.
It's kind of funny to me that Shaq and Artest would make CLE the clear favorites, but no one in here wants them for our team.

Bizarre, actually.
Were Portland to get both players, they would be contenders. Maybe not as high up the list as Cleveland, since Portland is lacking a LeBron, but definitely a real challenger to the Lakers and Spurs.
If I recall correctly, after the playoff series against us Artest said Roy was the toughest person to guard he's ever faced (or something like that). Also that he was the only player to score 40+ points in a game against him.I'd take Arterst, but I'm not sure he'd respect Roy to the level he'll respect James. Shaq? Was he PHX's missing piece?
cleveland's team is looking worse and worse with the more big names they talk about adding. With talk of moving James to PF, they have an extremely bulky frontcourt. Try running through screens with that frontcourt!
SF: Artest
PF: James
C: Shaq

That team often gets mentioned as if it's a bad thing, but people tend to forget they were steamrolling until Malone got injured. Payton never really fit, but he didn't exactly hold them back, either.Time will tell, I suppose, but this sure smells a lot like that Lakers team that had Karl Malone and Gary Payton...
I just signed with the Knicks for 12 milion, Thanks Donnie Walsh!!!
all you should be worried about in regards to the rockets is yao. no yao, no need to worry.I don't see this being a done deal anywhere.. but I guess it'd be nice to see him go East rather than stay in the West and be an annoyance to Brandon. Houston having Battier/Artest was one of the main reasons they had our number. If it's just Battier, and then no Yao, then that's some good news.

it's not like artest slowed roy down at all in the playoffs and artest hurt the rockets more than he helped offensively 4 of the 6 games against portland.
losing yao is going to hurt a lot.I think over the long haul, losing their All-Star 7-6 center and an All-NBA defender is going to hurt them more than help them. For stretches, they played better without them but for an 82-game season plus playoffs.. they're going to miss them.
