It's 80% LeBron discussion, 10% Mayo, 5% Westbook, 2.5% Rose, 2.5% Beasley....

Yeah, Rudy isn't the only one being ignored you know. They are basically ignoring the Soph's except for Durant, and most of the rookies like Lopez aren't getting talked about either. It shouldn't really be a big deal.

They talked about Jeff Green a bit... but that's about all the sophs have gotten.

Did anyone see how Harlan tried to bring up Rudy in conversation (about how he's not really a "rookie") and LeBron and the guy who makes Charles Barkley sound smart started jacking off about some other player, right in the middle of the conversation?

Yup, pretty much par for the course tonight.

Finally, LBJ is gone and Pau is in. Maybe we'll get some Rudy love now

Gasol is bashing American teamwork, and I can't disagree with him.

Durant...

Yeah I know, it makes me regret not taking him. You have to think that a lineup of Bayless/Roy/Durant/LMA/Pryz would be killing it right now. And we could even still have ZBo to add to that if we wanted. Damn. And Rudy. And Outlaw. And Webster. And Blake.

I was happy taking Oden at the time, but whenever I actually WATCH Durant play (I haven't seen him play much since the NCAA Tournament a few years ago) I wish he was a Blazer.

You had me until the ZBo part.

Yeah, I'm not saying that ZBo is necessarily a plus, but the fact is that he can score the ball. I was just talking in terms of firepower we could have on the team. You could have even ran a lineup of Durant/Zbo/LMA.

Just saying that so far, we aren't winning that decision yet.

Durant is almost a year younger..

He is putting up 26 ppg in his second season..

He'll only going to get better when he puts on a little weight..

He's only 20!

It's really looking like we royally fucked up that draft. Durant's ceiling is appearing limitless.

I've thought of that lineup. And yes, it definitely should give all Blazers fans some pause.

Let's revisit this conversation in 3 years. That's what I keep telling myself. I'm not jumping to any conclusions until the END of next season at the earliest. But until then, yeah - we all have to wonder.

I mean I was all about Oden too. He had size and was supposed to be the next great center. It's true he might develop, but I don't like what I've seen from his personality and seemingly lack of love for the game. I don't see the fire and passion, the competitive spirit that you have to have to really take it up to that next level.

Durant is ridiculous. Seeing his improvements from last year, it's crazy to think what he'd be like next to Roy and how having both of them would make the game easier for both of them (by drawing defensive attention). I mean, that is a Jordan/Pippen type of combination in Roy/Durant (not in playing style, but in dominating opposing talent). Really. Unless Oden becomes David Robinson, we certainly missed the boat.

Pining for Durant isn't going to get the Blazers anywhere, but it will surely make the fanbase look like a bunch of whiney bitches.
