It's my understanding that if either a PAC-12 or Big-10 team plays in the NATTY the Rose Bowl can select any team they want to fill the slot (assuming the Natty isn't at the Rose Bowl). But what if one of the two conference champs isn't eligible for the Rose Bowl due to NCAA probation? Can the Rose Bowl still select a team at large?

why oh why must duck fans continue to use the word natty? Do you understand just how stupid it sounds?

Must be a Beaver fan

nope, sorry. I'd say the same, thing, though, if their fans used the term. Just sounds dumb as shit. It sounded stupid when Harris said it. Sounds worse when you hear some 50 year old white dudes saying it.

It sounds like baby talk, which is expected and appropriate coming from duck fans.

Agree!

Damn, you guys are being a little mean to BlazerProphet. "Natty" isn't that big of a deal.

Conference champions are determined by conference title games, participation in which is also subject to postseason bans. That's why USC, for example, wasn't in the PAC12 title game last year; they were barred because they weren't postseason-eligible.

So long story short, what you're asking can't happen. If a team wins the PAC12, or Big10, they will be eligible to play in the Rose Bowl.

I will be watching the Natty this year, drinking a Natty Ice, and talkin to this chick named Natty.

I think it's pretty douchey to let a word bother you enough to complain about it. Just sayin...

just sounds dumb to me is all. Feel free to use it if you think it sounds cool.

Good point.
