Highly Unlikely from the vibe I got out of this, ......

Especially when Manfred:
previously looked into the reinstatement case for "Shoeless" Joe Jackson, who was banned as a result of the Black Sox Scandal. Though Jackson's role in the situation has been debated over the years, the commissioner denied the request, standing by the decisions made by his predecessors

I missed this News, the Pope Out Staged, and Stole Rose's Headlines.....Re-instatement, IMO for Pete, NO Fkn way....not even 100 or 500 years after He perishes. If Shoeless Joe doesn't go, Rose sure as Hell doesn't belong.

And yet if a poll showed Manfred that mlb revenues jump 10% with a Rose redemption tour, you all know it would be a done deal.
 
...^^^ "redemption tour"?...I know some actually feel sorry for Rose...but for me personally, one sure way to keep me fro wanting to go to a game is if I knew there was gonna be some sort or Pete Rose pity party at the ball park.

HELLO? the majority of people that do pay taxes do the same damn thing. creative accounting for IRS purposes is the American way! Fuck the corrupt IRS!

Of course they do, but not even close to Rose's lies, or amount of $$$ he lied about, an easy slam dunk for the IRS. Check Memorabilia producers records, for amount of autograph tix sold, at what price, ....

and-

I have no problem with flat tax rates, and NO IRS.......I had my Business (a GSD Kennel), 1st year, I was audited, for over $43K in losses, legit enough, (every single receipt for expenses, income),...the Field Rep, to leave with his tail b/t his leg, and the fkr wouldn't say, "We're sorry", after I showed Him the door, and asked, "So no apologies?"

so yeah - fk the IRS, abolish them and create less Govt.

but no, not everyone cheats on their taxes. To think so, is no different than saying everyone is corrupt, not so. As for the majority of people???? I doubt it, the majority of people don't have a clue how to file, let alone cheat.

Matts I think its only appropiate to mention my Os giving the Blue Jays a divisional crown. By embaressing losses of 15-2 and 8-1, they should be applauded for contributing to the misery encapsulating the sports atmosphere in Baltimore. Even Buck couldn't stop it.

...don't worry, Stampede...the O's are facing the Yanx at Camden Yard this weekend and could very well finish their season on a high note.

You beat me to it Ron. Its not enough that the Yankees are embarrassing themselves & disappointing there fan base in there final home series but at the rate they're going they may not even make the playoffs.

Or is it the other way around, what's the talk, scoop in Baltimore..?

Orioles legend Cal Ripkin Jr. could return to the franchise as manager if current skipper Buck Showalter moves into the front office to replace Dan Duquette.

Thank You for the update Rick. Quit interesting, but would or does Cal want to Manage? It could make for an interesting experiment. I think Buck would be fitting up stairs.

Tho' it's really rare to see a HOF Player, who goes on to become a great or even good Mgr.

As many have said, utility bench players make for good mgr's, but to their time spent watching and learning. While great players like Mick or Mays, could not always explain the method to their greatness.

I've heard or seen time again. I just heard on a Yanx game in the last week, Kay say: "Catchers make for good Mgr's." but do HOF Catchers....? I can't say I know of any HOF Catcher who made a great mgr. HOF Stats of Mgr's, and Catchers reveal otherwise....!

I won't even think to drag Yogi into this one tho'......he gets a free pass period....!
 
Though he won MOTY in 1989 Frank Robinson did not fair well as a manager finishing he career with a 475 winning% with 4 different teams. And in 16 years only had a winning record 5 times.
 
^^^ off the top of my head, I can't think of one HOFer elected as a player that later became a very good coach.

I don't know but I tell ya the team may not have the same coach due to the bad work within these last two weeks. IMO

The Yankees will win as my O's are specializing in FUBAR events. However, my Ravens gave fans across the country their monthly cable bill worth with their work against our Steeler rivals. That was the typical brutal game I get with the Ravens. They never make it look easy except for some rare games like the Bucs and Panthers games in 014 or when they once beat the Raiders 55-20 .. I'm heading to BAL this oncoming game with my son. That crowd and atmosphere in M & T stadium are exceptional. I want to see our guys pummel Johnny fuckin football..
