JC is taking a lot of crap on this. And now you contend that he is negative in times when maybe he should be positive. Have you listened to his show? Let me be clear. I'm not a big fan of him. But he is more postive about the team than most fans are. Like yesterday for instance, he had the ok to go out and say NATE MCMILLAN IS DOING AN EXCELLENT JOB WITH THIS TEAM. How many fans truly believe that statement?

Other than that, I don't hear a lot of bad mouthing of this team from John. All in all he could be worse. He could be Dwight Jaynes.

That letter was years in the making. Brother, you've known me for over 5 years in O-live. We have both witnessed Cansucko wagging the dog and feeding the flame. I just wanted to give him my piece of mind. Something I would say right in front of his face. He is a piece of shit columnist that wants nothing more than ratings from his negativity. Always wrote in this manner and it's boring.

I read it. The only thing I question about this article is, why now? He makes good points, really good points. Points that I wouldn't incriminate him over. However, why has he picked now, this moment, since we are talking about specific moments in the article. To write this article.

So far, I just told him "Then just tell him. Why can't you just go up and talk to Roy privately. Say you are planning to write this column because you believe it's important to the kids that look up to him? You have the power to influence from within. Then write a piece about how great Roy is for taking what you believe is right, and him understanding it. You even wrote in your column that if he felt like it bothered people, then he would stop. Instead, it's now world-wide on espn.com saying he should be there.

This one piece is tarnishing the "good name" of Roy. We haven't had such a wonderful player like him for years. Remember the "Jail Blazers"? Please feed the positive and try and influence from within. Roy needs this, especially since so many think he's acting selfish with this Blake vs. Miller debacle."

+1. That's the issue I have. If you want to write this article, fine. I think it's stirring the pot an dunnecessary, but he's a columnist. Whatever. But, this isn't something new. He's known about it for at least one year. Why now? Why when there is slight seeming of a bit of turmoil, does he write the article. Why not write a longer piece on it last season, asking, woul dan All Star not stand with his teammates or something. Instead he included it in his piece of why Roy should be an All Star. That bugs me. Doing it now reeks of shit stirring, when Roy has been doing this for a while.

Not a good counter. A person is allowed to decide who "his/her people" are, if they so choose. You telling someone else who "their people" are is arrogant and, considering the history of the racial divide, insulting when you aim at a minority. It implicitly says that you consider that minority to be a separate people. While one might say it's questionable for members of a minority group to set themselves apart (though, I think it's pretty natural and understandable when they've been embattled for many years), it's definitely inappropriate for a member of the majority group to do it, especially when that majority group has a history of discrimination/oppression.
