If Greg can stay healthy he can be this
Right. Now you're just being ridiculous. Greg Oden dominated more in the 21 games he played this season than Dale Davis did in his entire 16-year NBA career. Dale's career high for BLK/G was 1.8. Greg was averaging 2.3 BLK/G this season in fewer minutes. Dale's career high BLK% was 5.7 (at age 37). Greg was leading the league with a BLK% of 7.6 prior to his injury. Dale's career high TRB% was 19.2 Greg's TRB% as a rookie coming off microfracture surgery was 20.0%. This season, it was 22.0%.
Dale Davis' career high PER was 17.4 at the age of 30. Greg had a PER of 18.1 as a rookie coming off microfracture surgery and was at 23.4 this year, at the age of 21, before his injury. Dale Davis peaked at 30. We haven't even seen what Oden can do at 22. Do you honestly think he peaked at 21 with 82 games and 1816 minutes of NBA experience under his belt. Do you not think Oden will continue to improve as he gains experience? Guess what, even if he doesn't, his best is already better than Dale Davis' best.
Ridiculous comparison. Saying Greg can be Dale Davis, if he can remain healthy is the equivalent of saying Brandon Roy can be Steve Smith, if he can remain healthy.
