Roy is on PTI right now. Check it out or catch it later on ESPN2.

Sorry if it's already posted. He's their "5 good minutes" segment.

Brandon asked teammates if it was okay for him to shoot more during the game.

Man, he seems so HAPPY.

I don't blame him, but I look forward to him getting a couple of games under his belt. Hopefully he hits 50 again and it'll be more, "been there, done that".

I hope he hits 55 so he can take the single game record away from Mighty Mouse.

Dang, Roy's such a realist haha. So freaking down to earth it's ridiculous. Love that dude.

I like the "off-air" comments you could overhear between Wilbon and the other guy, very complimentary of his game and the way he plays.

I hope he gets 90, since Kobe got 80-something. :devilwink:

summary:

- Asked teammates several times if he was being "too aggressive" and they said: um, no - shoot more!
- Even Roy says that he is somewhat surprised that the team is exceeding expectations already this season.
- Hesitated when asked if he thinks the Blazers are title contenders; says that they have a lot of work to do to get there.

edit: pretty cool that they gave him the longer 5-minute segment instead of the normal 1 or 2 minutes.

as they were cutting to break Bob Ryan (the other guy) says: "People should have already known who he was, but if they didn't they will now."

What is the god-damned avatar with a head and big question mark? I've asked before and nobody answers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a placeholder avatar for people who don't have customs, I believe.

In other words - if you ever went out of the country and came back through customs - you have an avatar. Right? ;)

A superstar and team leader anxiously asking his teammates whether it's okay for him to be taking so many shots...one of the funniest and coolest things I've ever read.

Roy is almost a dream...a brilliant player who also happens to be a fantastic teammate and classy person. I hope he's a Blazer for many years.

No Brandon and I have a feeling we're spinning our wheels a lot like OKC or Memphis; similarly young teams with not a lot of veterans and no clear leaders. I'm bowled over whenever I think about our roster in 2005-2006 and where it is now and that the turn-around came through the draft and not through trades.

Fixed. Most of our players did come/go in a trade, just deals done on draft day. LMA, Roy, Rudy, Sergio, Frye, getting rid of Jack, Randolph

Hah!

"Hey, uh... is it alright if I score about 30 a game? I don't want to be selfish or anything, but I think we could get more out of our offense if I take it to the rim, and you know, get more free throws. I mean, it's totally up to you guys."

Wow.... I love Brandon Roy even more. The guy represents everything that we want in a franchise player in Portland. M-V-P!! M-V-P!!

seriously..is there a better guy in the nba? total package. roys personality makes him much more likeable hen kobe or lebron ever dreamed of. No arrogance, not smug, not a punk, not flashy...just a good guy whos good at basketball.

love this guy

I wonder if this type of publicity will help his all-star votes.

For a long while now the game announcers have been raving about Roy and his game. Despite a constant stream of compliments it didn't amount to many votes for Roy.

Here's an interesting stat. Brandon Roy's shot blocking over the last five games (in which he's averaging ridiculous offensive production):

PHX: 1
SAC: 1
LAC: 2
UTA: 1
ORL: 2

Total: 7

Previous 19 games combined: 1
Entire season before last five games: 3

Where did that come from? I knew he could block them, but was he just going through a bad string or has that D just improved with his O?

Whoa . . .

I can't find any negativity in that post. Can anyone currently in Hell check and see if it's snowing outside?
