It might be in another thread, but I'm to lazy to look. I thought I heard he would be ready tonight, but on the ESPN preview it sounds like he won't play. Anyone know?
 
He's a game-time decision.

As it turns out, Brandon Roy is not as certain about playing tonight against Golden State as he originally imagined earlier this week.

Roy on Saturday morning said he won't know his status for tonight's game until he tests his right hamstring in pregame warmups. Blazers guard Rudy Fernandez is also a game-time decision, coach Nate McMillan.

Fernandez, whose sore left foot kept him out of Friday's practice, was feeling well enough to stay after Saturday's shootaround and get up some extra shots.

Roy, meanwhile, had a short conversation with McMillan on the court after the shootaround, then sat with athletic trainer Jay Jensen for a longer talk. Roy hasn't played in 14 days since straining his right hamstring in the Dec. 27 game against Toronto. The Blazers have gone 2-2 in his absence.

"It's getting better,'' Roy said. "But I wouldn't say it's 100 percent. I wouldn't say it's 90 (percent). But it has improved a whole lot from two weeks ago. So I'm going to come in today, warm up, and hopefully give it a chance to go tonight.''

Roy said he experienced some pain during Friday's practice when he tried quick or explosive moves, which has led to his cautious approach.

"We'll see. If I'm thinking there is certain things I can't do, coach understands that I might not be able to go.''

this injury is worse then they made it sound.

Because you're a great doctor and you know about Roy's injury better than he or the athletic trainers.

Good job chiming in on something that you could put a negative spin on.

I don't think he chimed in on the Miles/Email gate.
 
I hope that he at least can suit up for us and play if we need him to win the game.

Either he wasn't creative enough with his negativity or he decided that the Email was bad enough as it is.

I strained my hammy in high school while on the cross country team, and yes it hurts a hell of a lot. Took me 2+ weeks to get to 85%
 
I hope he sits out tonight. We should be able to win this game without him. Give it a little more time to heal.

I strained my hamstring in high school too, and that was like 18 years ago. It still hurts.

Yep. We can still beat Golden State. Actually I would feel that way regardless of the opponent. We need Roy to be completely healed. Hamstring injuries can linger all season if you don't get it right.

I'd be shocked if you ever had a positive thought on ANYTHING!
 
If he's still feeling pain no reason to play. This isn't a important game. It's not the playoffs. Don't take the chance. I don't want him to hurt himself worse and be out even longer when he could just sit for a bit longer. JMO
 
I am more worried about how long this is taking to heal then him playing in the game..he keeps saying probable but it keeps lingering..
