Are you saying Miami wouldn't want to lock up Wade? I read this as Wade wanting to test the market as a UFA and has essentially forced Miami's hand by not signing an extension.

I don't see how this has any relevance to the Roy contract negotiations. Roy has expressed he wants to be a Blazer; Wade has basically all but said he doesn't want to be in Miami short of them having a huge turnaround next year.

I'm just saying, it's a two-way street. Plus, I'd still like to know what the sticking point regarding a 5-year deal with Roy. I'm sure there's something there that would make it more understandable.
