Roy indicated during his post-game last night that he will sit down with Nate and KP to discuss what this team needs to do moving forward. I wonder what he'll suggest. Will it be a new team philosophy? A new offense? Different defensive strategy? Blowing up the bench? Bringing in a certain kind of player, or a specific player? Put yourself in Roy's shoes, what are you asking for?

Blake back. :D

There, now that joke has been used, and we can get on to actual baseless speculation.

Brandon is all about Brandon. I hate to admit this, but I actually agree with Crapzano's article this morning about Brandon not trusting his teammates.

He's going to ask for more isos ... just kidding. I honestly have no idea what he's going to talk about, but my hope is that he realizes that this team needs more offensive integration, ball movement and player movement (a busted up center who can't stay healthy and a power forward who doesn't rebound or set picks all that well and likes to take fade-away jumpers might come up too).

If I'm Roy, I'm gonna ask the organization to challenge me to bring the ball up the court faster and get involved in more fast breaks. I'm gonna ask them to challenge me to raise my defensive game to a higher level. Then I'll ask for Bosh and a young dynamic point guard who can guard small quick players and who can make good decisions

Are you just kidding? This wouldn't surprise me one bit.

I think if I was them, and looking at the future, and the possibility of the Rockets getting Bosh in free agency, I would try to head that off and do a sign and trade to get Bosh on board. Because if we don't, and they get Yao back, we are pretty much fucked next year. If that involved many players and a few draft picks, so be it. Fill the roster back in with players off the free agency list.

Aren't exit interviews part of the normal process for the season?

Sure ... But I would guess that as the face of the franchise Roy's opinions and feelings might carry more weight than the average player.

That's ridiculous! If he was all about Brandon do you think he would come back 8 days removed from knee surgery?!

I figure he will ask for a Harem at least as big as Tiger Woods Harem. Because if the seasons are going to go like this, you might as well get laid by a lot of hot ladies!:devilwink:

Sure, I would imagine his thoughts carry more weight than Travis Diener's, but at some point he's just an employee.

Yea, but you know, you have to want a player on your team that allows you to say "Weiner, Weiner, Chicken Deiner!":ohno:

Spot on.

Either that or Roy will ask them to trade him to a team with a staff that has a clue.

I figure he will ask them to trade him to the Clippers, so he can play with Blake and Outlaw again!:ohno:

Roy knows we need a REAL low post presence! Without that, he knows the Blazers can't advance! He might also want a real offense, one that Nate can't provide.

Let's hope that's what he says!

From BlazerBanter: Roy pointed two areas of necessary improvement for Portland: perimeter shooting — better shooting in general — and low-post play.

About what I suspected. I think he wants a PG that will play off him and not the other way around, and that PG needs to be able to knock down 3pt shots. Honestly it makes perfect sense.

I have insider information that says he asked for Paul Allen to move the Franchise to Seattle so he can play in his hometown.

j/k

Ya know I've been thinking about that too. Key Arena is getting a facelift too! Hmmmmmmm!!!

Come on down Patty Mills!

He's going to apologize for telling them to trade Zach, and beg them to get him back.
