RoyToy became a fucking ghost during the long win streak we had, and only returned when we lost a few games. Sly warned him about trolling the thread, he posted something (when we were winning) that I perceived to be a trollish post so he got a 24 hour suspension.

My post basically implied Lillard was getting torched on defense. Anyone watching the game could see that was the case.

It got to the point Lillard was playing so bad you wanted his mother to "slap the shit out of him", as your post so elegantly said. Just because I pointed out how poorly he was playing in the 2nd quarter doesn't mean I should be suspended.

Just admit you overreacted and abused your power.

Saying Lillard is getting torched on defense? I was one of many to say that. You went further and wanted him to be slapped in the face by his mother.

The game obviously got the best of you and you needed to take your aggression out on something or someone. If you can't keep a level head then maybe you shouldn't be a moderator. I mean it's already been pointed out by many posters that I said nothing that warranted a suspension, who are the same posters I was trying so hard to provoke :crazy:.

Maybe it's time to step down (again)

There is no manual on how to moderate this forum. We are making it up as we go along. We're always looking for new ways to moderate this forum better. Some work, some don't but considering that you're the only one so far that has ever been given a 1 day suspension I would hardly consider it an overreaction or an abuse of power.

If there was any mistake made it was mine in publicly telling you not to troll the tread. I should have told you privately via PM.

The game got the best of me? You were suspended WHEN WE WERE WINNING.

You knew what you were doing. We felt you were trolling and we gave you a 24 hour suspension. It is what it is. Keep putting it on me but if I had waited 2 minutes it would have been Sly who suspended you.

And I still don't understand what I said that was trolling. Neither do many other posters in this thread. They don't get it either.

My last post had nothing to do with the team

It had to do with Lillard getting torched on defense. He was getting lit up and it was ugly, so I made that post.

I pointed out Lillard was paying awful defense when he was. Sorry.

I didn't do anything to stifle or end discussion. I think you are intentionally over negative. I think you do that much in the same way that Mixum did. Not to present the other side of an opinion but to spin people up and provoke a reaction.

No, my suspension was warranted. This place was out of control then, though. I notice Further, who also should have been banned, rarely posts anymore because he knows what a completely horrible PM it was he sent to me.

You're posting a ton lately, NateBishop3. I'm not sure if this board has stats, but you have to be far ahead of other posters the last month in terms of volume. Sometimes, stepping back and taking a break (forced or otherwise) works. I just see a pattern with you lately, and how you are obviously choosing 'sides' in you posting, which turns into baiting, which then turns into you have the power to suspend someone. I think the public ridicule thing works better, such as me posting to BrianfromWA about how often he rehashes the same points about LMA. I've noticed he's slowed down on those posts, and we're actually have some discussions on the main board that are related to CJ, or Stotts, or etc. etc.

That post may have been my first post in the game thread up to that point.

And yes, I still say Portland shouldn't want to play OKC in the 1st round. I do think they are the better team.

I took a break myself for about 2 months after being threatened to be banned by Sly at the same time Natebishop was trolling me. It made absolutely no sense.

Of course I'm accused of coming back when the season started going down the drain. We all know the season is over. :crazy:

Not counting the timbertrolls, you were the last person I banned/suspended before Roytoy. How long ago was that?

Please, show me where I'm abusing my power. I didn't suspend MM. I didn't ban Mixum.

You guys like to scream about mod abuse and baiting, but you guys are some of the worst baiters on the forum. G you seriously try to bait someone at least once a day. They're usually subtle, like a shot at wanting to trade Aldridge or begging to get the mod job back, etc. Do I ban you for it? No. Do I suspend you for it? No. The only two times that I have banned you were because of an out-of-control argument with Zags and the thing with Further. So if I'm abusing power, don't you think I would have banned you years ago? When have I ever banned you for arguing with me? Hell, most of the time I don't even edit you for attacking me. I just take it. I really don't see how that's abuse. :dunno:

What about the other 2 I gave you? My point is suspensions are being used here more than they have in the past.

You seem to say it is the same posters be suspended, but it's not. I have seen 3 long time posters suspended in the last 90 days. I don't remember it being like this years ago, but the board was the same if not more volitile in years past than now.

But whatever, I was just making an observation that the suspension tool is being used more liberally these days. Just like with shifts in NBA rules, posters will simply have to adjust (or mods stop calling it so tight :) )


Also giving examples of mod abuse? When did I ever say "mod abuse"?
