Wow, those guys like Davis a hell of a lot more than I do!

Love is a beast! Just because we all love LA and what he means to us shouldn't take away what the LoveBoat is doing.

Get with the times! It's StatLove now! :)

Statistically, Love is definitely better. His numbers are insane.

25 ppg, 13.6 boards, 4 assists, 27 PER...

It's crazy, but I'd still rather have Aldridge.

Yeah but he is a giant stat whore that plays Shit defense and can't be depended on at the end of games.

Lma is a better player.

Davis will end up better than both, just not this year

I have no idea what the twolf fans think. Most of them hate the blazers for whatever reason and we think of them as the Shit on our shoes.

Great discussion on NBA Lock-down with Bruce Bowen podcast today. A 15 minute discussion about who the best big (not just PF, but C also) in the league. Talked a lot about LMA, Howard and Love, with some others also being discussed. it's worth a listen.

Even if you discount a lot of what Love does, he is an excellent PF. However, LMA is just better. Stats are worse, but his D is ten times better and he also does more that needed to make the team as a whole get wins. Love takes a ton of threes. LMA could take those too, from all accounts his 3pt shooting in practice lately has been stellar. But the team needs a player to eat up mid range and to post up, and LMA does those. Hence, at the start of the season many around the league were looking at rosters and predicting the Blazers would miss the playoffs while the wolves would be a 45-50 win team . Well, our star plays in a way to highlight the team concept and elevate everyone, while Love just plays stat-whore. Look at the results.

The biggest difference is how StatLove doesn't make the players around him better. Hickson filled up the stat sheets, but at the cost of his team. StatLove is the same way, which is why their team is mediocre at best.

This.

I think Love would be okay as a second guy, but they need a #1 guy.

While his stats are very impressive, I don't think you can design an efficient, hard-to-stop offense around Love. I think it can be done with LMA.

Aldridge is three time player of the week and a true MVP candidate. Love is a stat padder on a lottery team. No comparison.

Rubes will soon be talking shit about Love when he leaves that shit hole for another team. It's actually funny if they think they can keep him.

He'll be a Laker very soon. I think it was Simmons who was saying that Love and Westbrook will be Lakers after 2014-2015.

They also think Bricky Rubio is better than Damian Lillard. They think ALL there players are better than ours, yet somehow they are 12-12 and we are 21-4. Game over fucktards!!!

Prepares for onslaught of cawk pix....

I think the gap is slowly narrowing, but he'll have to keep this up for a while to catch Love.

Well, if you include defense and (positive) impact on his team's record, Love has a LONG way to go to catch Aldridge.

I'm not saying Love is the better player. I'm saying Love has insane stats, so if you were going off stats, the argument could be made that he's the better player.

It's no surprise that fans think their player is the best (if they're among the best I mean). This is no different.

Love had a total of 18 games played last year, how does that make him the incumbent anything?

Only if you don't include defensive stats and won/loss record. According to 82games.com, when playing their primary position of power forward:

LaMarcus Aldridge:
Pts/48 Own = 30.1
Pts/48 Opp = 16.8
Pts/48 Net = +13.3

Kevin Love:
Pts/48 Own = 31.0
Pts/48 Opp = 21.9
Pts/48 Net = +9.1

Aldridge FTW!

And then there's that whole won/loss stat thing...

Would the Blazers consider pairing Love with LaMarcus if they somehow had the assets to acquire him via trade?

Before the season I would've been all for that type of deal with LMA playing center. Seeing how much better LMA and our whole team is with a legit center I question if that type of move would actually improve us. We have the #1 offense with Lopez, Love can't make it any better than #1.

The Wolves have major problems with the Love/Pek pairing on defense which likely prevents that team from ever being relevant.

If Love wouldn't mind coming off the bench

I'm going off stats from this season. I didn't say anything about incumbents.

Seriously, do people just want to argue? I think LA is the better player. I just said Love has some insane stats.
