Rudy done in the NBA?

I find it funny that the majority of this board was outraged that Rudy's value was possibly only a draft pick, back when it was rumored it was Toronto for a pick. Outraged that his value was so low and laughed off and said it would be fail if that is all we got for him. And now you're outraged that we didn't trade him for that and misjudged the market for him.

Just sayin.

What this all proves is the Blazers is a dysfunctional, poorly run organization. Rudy is in the right here, he sees how badly our organization is run and it comes from the top.

Yeah, that's why he wants to go back to Europe, he's not down with upper management. Give me a break.

Reality is a bitter pill for some folks.

Alright. Lets stop drafting these little spanish bitches. They're fucking babies.

This franchise is falling apart before our very eyes and you choose to ignore it.

OH SHIT! We lost a bench player! :ohno:

You know, you could always go be a fan of the Thunder. I hear it's all sunshine and rainbows over there.

yes catering to a whiny ball less Euro's demands should have been #1

Maybe he should stop playing on his computer and see what's actually going on.

Cho's been hired for a month and hasn't done anything with this roster. Sadly, I'm not shocked.

If all we could have gotten for Rudy was a late first round pick, we didn't really lose much. Those can be easily acquired by making it rain on cheap ass teams during the draft. Also, I can see Allen being spiteful and essentially banning him from the NBA (by not acquiescing to his trade demands) by not trading him to another team, and forcing him to stay in Europe.

The Blazers got Frye and earlier cap space for arguably the worst contract in the NBA.

There's been deals presented to Cho and he has reportedly turned them down because he said he could find something better. Looks like he badly misjudged the market for Rudy Fernandez.

At least he is a young new guy like Morey!

I'm still less than thrilled with the Cho hire.

Lets pick and a choose when we believe Quick.

OK.

Miller said new Blazers general manager Rich Cho has "overreached" in his attempt to trade Fernandez, turning down offers from Chicago, New York and Boston, leaving Miller and Fernandez with no option other than to hold firm that the former first-round pick will not report.

...

That MS Excel isn't going to talk on its own!

letting Rudy walk for nothing...is probably preferable than dumping Rudy for.....nothing.

I know right, it only takes me a couple of emails to get a trade done with my fantasy team! What's the hold up.

I don't think anyone is upset over losing Rudy. I think what people are upset abou tis that he supposedly requested a trade last December, and KP did nothing. Now it has gotten to the point where we really won't get anything for him. That's a little upsetting

I still don't see the correlation between that and the franchise falling apart.

Honestly, I'm kind of glad he hasn't yet. Not because I think the roster is fine as-is, but because with him being a fresh GM, his colleagues are likely trying to rob us blind.

If you hadn't noticed, we recently fired our GM who was regarded as one of the TOPS in the league without reason for a suckier version of this GM's assistant (Penn).

On the shit list with a few agents now. Blazers becoming increasingly harder to deal with. Zero leverage in trades.

And yet, when healthy, we are one of the top teams in the league. That doesn't scream "falling apart" to me.

Losing assets for nothing does not help.

Neither does getting rid of competently performing general managers and sticking in someone green in there to replace them.

There isn't one.The fact that now Rudy and his agent have gone public saying they won't report is just 1 of the things that could mushroom here in Portland. Falling apart is too strong, as well. Potential train wreck, which I said, is closer

Cho is on radio now. 95.5

Let me recap. Everything is fine. Don't believe everything you hear. We like our team. Rudy is an important piece for our success, and we hope to make that clear to him.
