Sure seemed like last night no one was making any effort to give him the ball. I hate how methodical our pace was and just how lazy our offense was in general. A ton of iso constantly, how is that our plan for a playoff game.

Last night further demonstrated how Steve Blake contributes absolutely nothing when the defense doesn't play him tight and stretch the floor. He can't run the break, hit cutters, run a pick n roll, or play any defense? Logically Nate decided to ride him all game, what a joke.

I will be upset if either Channing (I'll shoot 20' jumpers with no one under the hoop to board ever) or Steve (i'm worthless) blake are on the team next year.

Rudy is the only guy on the team who knows how to feed the post or run the break and Nate won't even let him dribble at all, what a complete joke.

Realistically next game we should be having Batum D up Brooks, and having Rudy initiate the offense.

Rudy/Roy/Batum/Aldridge/Pryzbilla

Rudy was able to bring the ball up the court well enough in the olympics

Blake isn't a point guard. He's a shooting guard who can handle the ball. Some of us have been saying it all season. We need a true point guard.

Do you have a link or a source that confirms Nate telling Rudy he can't dribble? I find it hard to believe this is true, especially since I've seen Rudy dribble and never noticed Nate yelling at him or take him out of the game.

If you asked Rudy, the ONLY guy who really knows who can best set him up for success, he would say Sergio!

But I'm sure all the trade-pushers and Bayless fans disagree.

Because they're best friends. I wish someone on that team was Oden's best friend. Maybe we'd see Greg playing like we know he can.

That was the most frustrating thing last night. Practically everyone in the building knew whenever Greg touched the ball on the low block, something good happened. I know everyone in my section was yelling to get the ball to G.O. Between Travis hoisting up stupid one-on-one jumpers and everyone trying to take their man, it was just frustrating as hell.

GET THE BALL TO GREG!!! Your 7-foot, 290-pound monster who's a No. 1 draft pick!

I just can't stand watching us feed the ball to Frye when Aldridge or GO are in there. Why the fuck is Frye shooting 20 footers when we have LMA or Greg in the game??? WHy???????

Why the fuck was Frye in the game in the first place?

If I see Nate put in Frye to guard Yao in the first half when Greg is sitting on the bench with only two fouls and obviously making an impact on the game, I'm going to throw something and break a wall.

Apparently Jerryd and Greg are somewhat chummy off the court, and with the way Bayless has been missing shots in the lane there's at least a half-way decent chance caroms off the rim could be snared by GO and slammed home ... it's almost the same thing as a lob

Almost.....

Holy knee jerk reaction.

Really, I think we just need to calm down and try some different things at the PG, mainly putting Jerryd on Aaron Brooks, meaning Sergio's gonna sit. Sorry Maris. We need some defense at the PG to have any chance at winning the next game, much less the series.

the thing about sergio and his passes are that they put the shooter in a perfect spot. the pass usually hits them right at the chest where they can rise up and shoot in a flow. if you watch blake/bayless, many of their passes come down at the waist or above the head and it is tougher to shoot then. at this point i think you have to stick with sergio and hope that brooks goes back to his normal shooting.

and i don't want to hear any cheers for brooks at tuesdays game. after he lit us up he is no longer a duck but a rocket and deserves no applause, you duck fans make me fucking sick.

He does have the NBA record for assists in a quarter. And he won a college championship as the starting PG. For the most part, he plays like a SG on our team because Roy dominates the ball.

I believe Sergio's +- was the best on the team, don't talk shit about his couple minutes out there making us lose the game. Blake was the king of terrible +- last night.

1) He was on the bench much of the championship game because he couldn't handle the damn pressure, and Juan Dixon practically played point on that team too. His best years have been with Juan next to him in college, Brandon and AI in the NBA, couldn't do shit in Milwaukee and Washington because he couldn't get wide open looks next to a ball dominant scorer and he can't create or run.

2) that assists in a quarter game was such a joke, they might as well of been playing against a middle school team that night.

lol I didn't "talk shit" about sergio's couple of minutes. All I said was that Jerryd needs to be out there to play D, meaning Sergio is gonna hafta sit by default.

Again, holy knee jerk reaction.

Somehow I knew you were going to bring up that quarter.

Been there, done that.

Bayless failed epicly as a PG, and has been unimpressive in defending PG's for the most part also.

I like his attitutde as much as anyone, but he's been unable to back it up at the PG spot.

And I don't hear anyone wanting to sit Roy or Rudy just so Bayless can shine in the spot he IS good at.

Still trumps anything Bayless ever did.

In spades.

Steve Blake is the real deal.

Not to put Bayless down, but he's got quite a ways to go before he warrants another shot at PG, if ever.
