Except he has the handle and passing skills of a guard, so I still don't see why you believe he can't play shooting guard.

It's true that he's not a great three-point shooter (though he's not terrible either, he's simply a bit below average), but that's less than ideal from any perimeter spot...it doesn't disqualify him from either position. And he's good to great at virtually every other aspect of the game.

Again I like his game. And I don't care if he plays the 2 or the 3 as long as you have two other guys in there with him that can shoot. I am all for going small like someone suggested with LMA, Wallace, Batum, Iggy, and Felton. I just see a few issues on offense in a half court set (Playoffs) with him in the game with a true center and Wallace at the 3. Personally I like as many shooters on the floor as possible. I like small ball. That is why I would prefer him at the 3.

On the surface, it might seem you'd be 3pt challenged. BUT both Wallace and Iggy are better 3pt shooters than their % suggests. There both streaky and can put in a few in a row, and playing on crappy teams, guys tend to chuck a few more than they ultimately should. In fact, Wallace is the SF/PF version of Iggy in a lot of ways, including the handles.

FWIW, Wesley compares very favorably to Iggy, considering he has only been in the league for two years.

I don't think he compares favorably to him. Matthews is a superior three point shooter, but that's it.

Iguodala is bigger (longer) and a much better ballhandler. He's also a better defender.

Andre is older, but less so than he seems (less than three years).

Wes is a good player, and I'm glad he's a Blazer, but he will probably never be the player that Iguodala is now.

I'd be trying to get rid of him as well, especially if there is a tighter or lower cap if a new CBA is ever agreed upon. An amnesty clause that actually creates cap space and tax relief is the one this deal would get done if it were up to me.

Well we won't be able to acquire him until we know the details of the next CBA. If there is a hard cap then its possible Wes is more valuable to the team. If there isn't a hard cap or it doesn't take full effect until after Iggy's deal, then I'm all for a little bit of SPAM.

He's a productive offensive player who's also a stellar defensive player. His cost in money seems reasonable unless contract values in general plunge with the next CBA. Even if they do, I'd be happy to have the Blazers overpay for him, if they can get him in a talent-unequal swap, so long as there isn't a true hard cap.

Well, it's fairly obvious. If Rudy were black, he'd be a much better player. That really held him back, but won't hold AI9 back.

Andre is a lockdown defender and a great sudo 2nd/3rd option on offense. He is defiantly paid a little more then he is worth but teams over the cap wont' mind paying him especially a contender that has its 1 and 2 options already.

I know someone pretty close to the group. Ownership was consulted on trades, but last I had heard one didn't get close enough to have gone to new owners for approval. All try to ask around again.
