Paul Allen selling the team isn't falling hard

It's a good thing

Just think 2009 we were considered a team that would arguably win 5 titles and contend for a decade to the owner selling the team and two potential stars going down. Yikes we fell and fell hard!

Fate is a cruel muthafuckingbitch.

No, the "falling hard part" was the fact that we fell so hard that our owner wants to sell the team. I'm talking about everything that lead to it.

Where's Trader Bob when you need him? He turned us around once, and I'll bet he could do it again. I'll root for knuckleheads as long as we're winning ... which we were, until the end, when Trader Bob had to keep making moves just to make moves (and to acquire more headcases).

Trader Bob built a really good team then completely dismantled it in a short span. Laughable.

The sun was shining when he was canned

We didn't can him soon enough. The way he has built teams.... You let him build the team back up, and can him as soon as they make a run.

Brien Berger thinks Portland is setting up for a sale by PA. If so we will have huge salary room, probably no coach or GM. If this happens it may be bad times for Blazer fans, because I doubt we will use the cap space until a sale is complete. That probably means little pursuit of good FA this year. What do you guys think?
It worked out for the Sonic Thunder. We need draft picks. And Cho.

Oden is gone. Selling his Portland home and has no plans of returning to the Blazers, though he plans to continue his playing career.

Well good for Greg. I hope it works out for him eventually.

Source?

But good luck to him, if that's the case.

Mrs. HCP. We're chilling, getting ready for the game. HCP happened to call and report to his wife, she shared the news with me, and I shared with everyone else.

So.... HCP does have inside info!

Sorry, but I don't believe in miracles. If Oden ever plays for another team, I will consider that proof his injuries were not 100% legit.

I tend to agree ... that it would be a miracle if he ever puts together a sting of uninjured years in the league. That dentistry thing would probably be the way to go.

Yeah he gets krunk has micro fracture surgeries just for fun.

Indiana – The end of Greg Oden's tenure as a Portland Trail Blazer appears to be coming to an end.
LOL!

I challenge you to find someone who has supported Greg more than I have. But honestly, if it's true that Greg wants to resume playing, but will not play in Portland, for the team that has paid him millions, I hope he never plays again. That would be fair, IMO.

You don't think a parting of ways is a mutual thing at this point?

No. For the same reason they drafted Oden over a sure-fire All-Star in Durant: You can't teach height, and centers of Oden's size and ability are rare.

Oden with half of his talent and athletisicm is better than most centers currently in the NBA.

uhhhhh sure hope for GS sake that Bogut figures out his injuries!

Monta and Jennings....

I don't like that duo (both are 6'1") in the backcourt together.

I wonder if Paul Allen will sell the team and then try to get in on the push by Chris Hansen to build an arena to bring an NBA team and NHL team to Seattle. Also, kind of tells you why Paul Allen was so active in the owner side CBA negotiations. He wanted to make it easier to get the team ready to sell.

I'd kill to see what the Blazers look like with a real point guard and a real offense. Right now it's just 1v1 or passing around the perimeter with no movement otherwise. Just awful, boring basketball.

I'll start watching Bucks games! That backcourt will shoot 90% of their shots!
