shawne has a player option for next year. His inclusion sucks.

Started a new thread as this one is starting to sound like it's happening listening to various radio stations around the country.

Don't like this deal - anyone have info on the contract of Okur? This is obviously about the draft pick.

Blew my load for a picture I thought was Pamela Anderson, then I got closer and realized it was Ellen. :(

Okur is making $10 million and this is last contract year.

I like that we aren't on the hook for Wallace if he opts-in. Good move.

Really..... smh.

What on earth is wrong with that trade?!?!? To expect more isn't realistic - the front office was clearly worried about Wallace opting in and ruining their cap space, so we get 2 expiring contracts (both of which I'd be perfectly fine with simply waiving) and an eventual 1st round pick... Not to mention dump one of our better players, accelerating our nosedive into the top of the lottery rankings...

I can't complain. The key will be how protected the pick is. But for the guarantee of the cap space, not a bad move overall.

This is good. A pick and anything that keeps us from having Wallace opt-in and suck up 11 million dollars is not bad ... It's still not 4 1st round picks good like was rumored at the beginning of the year, but for a wing heavily on the decline I'll take it.

Sounds too good to be true. Is Bob Whitsitt back in the building?

On NJ-Wallace deal: Okur has not played since Jan. 25 (back), has expiring $10 mill deal.

Cap space for what... we're not attracting any big-time FAs here. I'll wait and see how much protection this 1st round pick has.

hoping NJ is just desparate to get some kind of talent, anything they can get, around deron right now

gotta figure wallace would be 200% more productive playing with him

Shawne Williams has not played since Feb. 11 (foot, knee), making $3 mill, has $3.1 mill player option.

The pick is Houston's lottery-protected first-rounder, so if Rockets make playoffs, it's Portland's.

If I'm not mistaken I believe it's just lottery protected.

Since the Nets are a lotto team for the forseeable future, that means the pick is fictional.

Edit: the Houston pick is marginally better.
